A: clear, light golden-wheat body with a decently-sized, white head.
S: The aroma is light grains but not much else.
T- light toasted grains and watery. light hops and a touch of bitterness. aftertaste is dry & clean.
M- Medium to light body & average carbonation.
D- not a huge maibock person but this is fairly drinkable.

Appearance: Dispensed from the tap a clear, light copper body with a modestly-sized, white head.
Smell: The aroma is a bit simplistic, smelling essentially of lightly toasted grains and little else.
Taste: Sweet, sugary opening of pale and pils malts with light nuances of toasted grains and caramel. Initial fruity hint of golden raisin is superseded by a taste of orchard apple. Modest European hop character and bitterness. Finishes dry and fairly clean.
Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: Fares well enough for the 0.5 liter dose. It's an average, acceptable maibock that errs on the side of ease of drinkability.

Filled a gallon growler at a local beverage spot.
This beer is copper/brown... almost looks like a brown ale(it's a bit darker than Maibock's I've had before). Pours a nice burly head of 1". Smells like fruit esters, toffee.
Taste the dark malt up front and it's sweet. A bit nutty in the middle with a alcohol bite...there's some honey notes and florals goin on.
finishes with a bit of banana-ish sweet.
the mouthfeel is good and the taste is great... I have a feeling this is around 6.5% but it doesn't taste like it.... a bit bitter in the finish and spicy alcohol too - but not too much..
IMO- this is the best beer I've ever had from Big River.... the Vienna was my fave before but I wouldn't call it great... now this one is closer to perfection.
a really good maibock.
the've put their own little twist while remaining true to style.
