I have been pleased by the quality of the beer selection. The staff is knowledgeable and willing to offer great suggestions to fit each individual. Overall, the Parrot Head truly is a beer lovers paradise. The only issue I have is they serve amazing food and occasionally run out. (I guess I better get there earlier.)

Parrothead Pub has a great selection of bottled beers, and they recently got a few beers on tap. They have a nice wooden bar and most of the bartenders are very knowledgeable about beer & are good about matching you up with a brew that fits your tastes. The owner tries to get beers from all over, and they do food pairings on occasion.
They don't regularly serve food, but sometimes in the summer they grill on the patio. Their burger with the homemade ranch (I think it was made with Bell's Two Hearted Ale) was one of the best burgers I've ever eaten.
One of the major downfall is the location. This bar is in a town where a very select few people appreciate a good beer. I've even heard people say they won't go to Parrothead because they "...just want a $2 Bud Light and don't want someone recommending them a $4 beer." This results in a very small crowd & lack of atmosphere. If you're in the Mansfield, OH area and want a good beer, definitely hit up Parrothead.

I checked this place out on a visit to see family. I walked in and was met with deafening silence. NO ONE in the bar besides the bartender. There is a nice wooden bar with a small dining area. Behind the bar was rows upon rows of beer bottles. I'm thinking this is great. I chose 5 or 6 beers from the bottle selection before I found one that they actually had in stock. Then I asked for a menu but they do not serve food.
The bartender seemed to have an average knowledge of beer. The beer in stock was of some quality. But the atmosphere was so boring I could hardly take it. The thing that really pissed me off is after my cousin and his wife cashed out and left, the owner realized he forgot to charge him for a beer and added it to my tab. When I pointed it out he said that I could just get the money from my cousin.
This is a decent bar in a really hillbilly town. They probably ripped me off because I wasn't local. I'm trying to be objective but I will never go to this place again.

Ive been to this place a few times.
The atmosphere is amazing. Theyll only play acoustic and blues until the younger crowd comes in later. Theyre only open on Friday and Saturday, which can be a bit of a discouragement. They have a nice rotating seasonal selection, which includes Great Lakes, Thirsty Dog, Flying Dog, and Goose Island. Although they have alot of different beers, there isnt that much exceptional or rare selections and no draft. The bigger out of state breweries are almost non-existent. A good Hefe collection as well.
The 3 bartender know exactly what theyre talking about. The owner is a genius and they have tastings once month around dinner time, but they dont serve food at all.
The prices are reasonable for the beer they have.
Ive since moved to the beer-mecca that is the Triangle, NC. compared to my current area, its rather lackluster. But when youre in North Central or NW Ohio, this place is the go-to. People drive over an hour just to visit. Randy makes it a point to get everything he can. I stand by my review (when comparing to local selections).
