I visited the store twice during a snowboarding trip to Snowmass this month (obviously a bit of a haul from the Snowmass Village area, but certainly worth it). The staff was very chill and very helpful...they certainly seemed happy to talk about beer (even with someone who was not local). Nice selection of breweries west of the Mississippi (Deschutes, Odell, SKA, Upslope, Russian River, Stone, and even Boulevard)...basically, plenty of good stuff that I can't get at home.
Customer service and a knowledgeable staff always makes a winner for me, and Aspen Wine & Spirits was no exception...chatted up both guys in the shop on my first trip and then met the main beer guy (Clark, i think - I'm bad with names, but he was from the southeast) my second time down...he knows his stuff!
Overall, a great staff and the best selection in the area!

Without a doubt, the absolute best craft beer selection in town (compared to Grog, Carls, Grape&Grain, Airport, and Local Spirits).
Plenty of 6 packs and cases of local stuff, with a whole bunch of other top craft beers from all over the US and Europe. Over the past 7 years, I've seen the following on a regular basis: Deschutes (everything but Abyss), Russian River, Odell, Port Brewing, New Belgium, Left Hand, Oskar Blues, Great Divide (no bombers), Avery, Ska, Lost Abbey, Bruery, Dogfish, Stone, Brasserie Dieu Du Ciel, Nils Oscar, HaandBryggeriet, Brouwerij De Dolle, and many more. I recently grabbed some Supplication, Obsidian, and Life&Limb2.
Unless you're willing to drive down to Sopris/Carbondale in hopes of finding a rare gem (I've found Black Tuesday and Abyss in the past), then Aspen W&S is all you'll ever need.
