Picked up a few bombers at the grocery store this evening on my way to watch the Celtics game at a buddy's house. Having tried and enjoyed a couple Cisco brews before, I was attracted to this pretty bottle.
Pours a light lemon color and a small amount of head quickly settles down into just a wisp over the body.
The smell is mild and subtle - some lemon candy and a grassy smell. It's sweet, lemonadey, with some grassy grains. It leaves behind that sort of unpleasant metalic taste that something like a natty light leaves behind though. It's not, like, overpowering, but it's there.
I could definitely power through a few of these during a hot day on the beach six months from now, but, right now, it's not a great choice and I was not impressed. Go with the Whale's Tale Pale Ale or the IPA over this from Cisco; not their best.

Appearance: Clear straw colored. Good head with moderate retention. Decent carbonation. Doesn't look bad and it doesn't look special
Aroma: Wow..unexpected. You get your usual players - cloves, coriander, citrus - and then you get some spices that you would typically expect to find in fall seasonals - cinnamon, nutmeg, maybe a little allspice. Being one for said seasonals, I am very excited by this
Taste: Spicy as expected. Big citrus zest up front. More lemon than orange. Tart followed by spice. The other spices mentioned above come out in the background. Definitely some nutmeg flavors. Then the finish is crisp wheat. Slightly unpleasant aftertaste that I typically get from the style
Mouthfeel: Very light and crisp. Mild carbonation. Spicy
Overall: I really enjoyed this beer. Pleasantly surprised by the spiciness. Maybe I've just not had enough of the style but this seems differently spiced and I commend them for it. Would gladly get again and recommend it for a nice summer day. Cheers!

Another cool beer from IPAkindaguy in a recent trade.
12oz bottle, bottled on 2/12/13. Poured into a pint glass.
Pours a crystal-clear pale gold with a thin bone-white head on top. Lots of bubbles shooting upwards feeding the frothy cap. Scents of lemon-lime, baker's yeast, pepper. A nose-full for sure. Crisp mouth - ample carbonation. Nothing harsh. Easily drinkable.
A wonderful balance of mild semi-sweet citrus, white peppery-crusted bread, mildly tart yeast presence. This is a really flavorful little beer here. Spiced well as it doesn't burn me out. I gulped and gulped this one until I was looking through the bottom of the glass before I knew it. Perfect beer for the upcoming warm months that is both tasty and refreshing - a great combo.
