Everything I could possibly say about this place has been said before. Some people really appreciate the Don't-Give-A-Damn attitude. I just found it to be crap service.
The most enjoyable part about the whole experience was when we were told there would be an hour long wait for our table at 9PM on a weeknight. So we picked up a six pack of ZD and went out back behind the brewery to the drainage ditch to drink the beer. It was freezing cold and the smell was terrible, but we didnt have to deal with the staff and the beer was amazing.
Between me and two buddies that were there we got to try 7 different beers and 5 of them had the exact same hop profile (again well known about FFF).
I love FFF beer and I will always go out of my way to seek it out. If I am ever passing through I would definitely be inclined to stop and see what they had for carry-out. Otherwise I would never waste my time at the brewpub itself.

Didn't really know what to expect when making the trek to the brewery. I had heard that it was in an odd, out-of-the-way location. Quirky is the best way to describe this place. It reminds me a bit of a 1970's basement. Not that this is particularly bad. It is really quite comfortable and certainly nont pretentious like most brew pubs. It is apparent that the general vibe of the often "misunderstood" Floyds carries over into the pub. Had the opportunity to try several tap 3 floyds that I never had the opportunity to try before (Apocalypse Cow, Alpha Klaus, You are welcome). The food is quite tasty and also reasonably priced. Don't expect to be blown away by this place, but if you are looking for good beer at a reasonable price in an industrial-like setting, then this is your place.

Love their beers, but not their brewpub. It's loud, worn, and the staff weren't what I would call friendly. In what I find to be typical symptoms of the sickness of 'trying-too-hard-itis', they were trying so hard to portray the cool/edgy/hip vibe which always comes off as pretentious if forced. It's not CO or CA, so hey, roll with it, us Midwesterners don't have anything to prove!
Food wasn't the best, but fortunately at the end of the day I don't really give a damn about the food, the service, or the atmosphere; I'm here for the beer, and beer was had. Arctic Panzer Wolf and Zombie Dust were additions to Three Floyd's beers I love, joining Robert the Bruce and Dreadnaught. Considering the last brewpub I was at prior to this was Ballast Point (San Diego) a couple months ago (which I thought was simple, but spectacular) it's not a surprise that I wasn't in love with this place. To top it all off, it was more expensive to drink here than it was at Stone (which is palatial)!

Located in an industrial strip mall location, with a great deal of snarky attitude (typical this is my job, pissed I don't have a career vibe).
Excellent beers. Easily top 5 Midwest brewery. Great selection, although varies greatly, the less than desireable stuff is more widely available year round it seems.
As soon as they figure out how to make monkeys or robots pour beer, look fat at the door under the rubric of "security" or whatnot, this place will be awesome. Definitely unique, not normal, but the help is actually, quite predictable.

Three Floyd's does make great beer. Having said that I can only say we, the consumer are willing victims of their success. It's hard enough to get their products in near by Chicago area, particularly Zombie Dust but when you go to the Brewery one would almost think it a guarantee to get what you came for, 6 pack bottles or cases of Zombie Dust. (They can't make beer fast enough) not that I want them to rush, cut corners and compromise their quality. It only ads to the mystique.

I am a metal head and don't live too far away (1 hr 40 ish min) and i love FFF so when I went here this weekend I had high expectations.
The beer expectations were met. Had a Zombie Dust and RisGoop and both were awesome. The Mentol was a bit lacking but still good.
They were playing sludge which i can enjoy at times but seriously add a little vibe rather than just chug chug chug. Play some music with balls, some Vader, Strapping Young Lad, Vicous Rumors, Solitude Aterunus (sp), Memento Mori. Something other than just depressing sludgy doom.
Also the people here love to smell thier own fecal matter. Our waitress was nice and friendly but everyone else was a bit douchey.
Love the beer but they are metal posers and their attitude sucks.
The food prices are ridiculous, like 13$ for the smallest bowl of curry ever.

I am glad my buddy and I visited this place before the chaos that is Dark Lord Day.
Went on a Sunday afternoon.
Not necessarily an ideal/normal location for a brewery.
However, the small bar was relatively comfortable. They actually had a movie playing on a projection screen.
Had a beer or two. Took awhile to decide since several of the beers they offered were out of stock and the prices were a tad steep ($16 for two beers).
Overall, a relatively good setting with a few tables surrounding the bar stools. An edgy setting. A seriously tiny place though for how popular the brewery actually is. I suggest to them to expand, because what I saw on DLD was ridiculous; they need a much much much bigger place. One of the smallest brewpups I have seen in quite some time. The service was fine, but could have been better since it was not very busy at the time.
* all the previous guest taps that were lined along the ceiling & wall were cool*

I drove down here with bmoney575 to see what the atmosphere was like on a normal day (we had previously been there on the insane dark lord day). The interior seemed pretty eclectic with lots of Three Floyds signs and wooden tables and a skateboarding video being projected onto a wall. The beers were served at proper temperatures and the selection was so so. There were the standard 3F beers on tap and with a few extra ones tossed in. They had quite a few guest taps and bottles as well. I was hoping that there would have been some more crazy experimental beers there, but seeing how small the selection there was solidified how small of a brewery it really was. The only thing I had to eat was the fries, which were very tasty. The other food looked good too, with quite a large selection. I wished that I was more hungry. Overall, it was a good trip, but the brewery was not as mindblowing as I was expecting.

Finally as able to stop at FFF on my way to Milwaukee for our yearly family vacation.
Neat little place in an industrial park in Munster. Cool atmosphere. The place was separated into 3 separate quadrants, the bar area, eating area, and to go area. But, on to the review...
I'll start off by saying, the service I received in the eating area was far below average. I got there at around 1 pm, and they must have only had the one guy serving. He was very short with us, and just seemed like he had better things to do. All of my questions were met with curt, one word answers. So I ordered food and a zombie dust, and left him alone. ZD was awesome! Food, not so much. I had the chicken sandwich, it was good, but I could've made better at home. It was dry and more bread than anything else. Selection of tap beers was excellent, to go beers....POOR. I know they are going through Some equipment issues, but gimme a break. Nothing I couldn't get at the retail store down the street. Extremely disappointed that I was not able to get any ZD to go. I did pick up a few bombers that I'm sure I will surely enjoy.
The best part of the experience (and the reson why the service score isn't lower) was the guy behind the to go counter. He was busy but still took the time to treat me like the paying customer I was, unlike the jackass in the eating room.
Overall I was disappointed with FFF. I'm hoping that it was just a bad day for service, and I know they're production will pick back up once the new equipment is up and running. I guess I just picked a bad day to go.
