Notes:
An American Wheat Ale, Gumballhead is named in honor of the underground comic book cat created by Rob Syers. Initially a seasonal summer beer, now brewed year round due to demand. This beer helped redefine American Wheat Beers. Brewed with Amarillo Hops and a generous portion of American red wheat, Gumballhead has a complex hop aroma with notes of grapefruit, lemon zest, marmalade and peach. These flavors combined with low bitterness make Gumballhead a refreshing American Wheat Beer that doesn’t suck.

There is something so zombie dust about this beer. Sure it as best I know isn't a one top beer and I really doubt it is all Circa, but damn if it doesn't have that same citrus one hop like note. The difference being wheat and a lot less malt and alcohol feel.
Pours crystal clear as most american wheat beers do, minimal carbonation but it leave a good bit of lacing. Pretty lively carbonation, but nothing like the explosive Belgian and German beers do.
The aromas are hops and more hops, the malt is nearly gone. Still nothing to bite you or over power, just citrus juicy melons pineapples and grapefruit.
This one has citrus notes with a nice hop character from start to finish with late what drying effect that dies to the hop finish. To say this is the best American wheat beer is an understatement, this is actually good beer which no other American wheat I've had could ever dream of claiming.
Extremely drinkable though I personally like a touch more body. Still for a summer beer chaser look no further.
It isn't dreadnaught, panzer, alpha king, or zombie dust...it is lighter yet still packs such a wonderful hop profile and presence that I just can't say enough about what this beer does. I want to knock it for something but damn...just can't.

Finally able to review the highly anticipated Gumballhead
A- One of the most inticing looking wheat beers i have ever seen. Poured into a Spiegelau IPA glass. Pours a hazy light copper/dark straw with a massive amounts of carbonation bubbles. Thick white head of 2 fingers that gives a great effort to stick around. Lacing holds like a beast.
S- Citrus hops- Tons of lemon, along with orange, grapefruit, with a touch of peach. Sweet wheat malts. Slight esters
T- Hop forward and smooth. Fantastic balance, as I wrongly anticipated more hops based on what i have heard and other reviews I've read. Huge lemon zest and citrus flavors lead the way before the wheat malt mellows things out. Hardly any bitterness despite the hop pressence. Love the complexity.
M- Mid body. Smooth, as I mentioned. High carbonation leads to a crips bite. So refreshing as i mow the lawn. Dries the mouth as I continue to drink
O- Different from any wheat beer I have had. My first from FFF, and certainly not the last. Not the huge hop bomb that i have seen writting about it. I feel it is more balance than that. Probably my 2nd favorite beer of this style behind Lil Sumpin Sumpin
No bottled on date that i could find.
