On-tap at 3 Floyds. Served in an imperial pint glass.

A - Generous two fingers of tan foam settles to a thin cap, thick collar, and splotches of lace. Dark brown body that's a tiny bit lighter at the fringes of the glass.

S - Lots of biscuit and brown malt sweetness, milk chocolate, coffee cake, caramel, roasted malts and light smoke.

T - The taste is a little bit roastier, with more dark chocolate, coffee, char, and roast. A bit more dry stout here, while the aroma was more evocative of a London porter. There's some cherry fruitiness, but this is very much about the roast.

M - Smooth, medium body, with lower, English-style, carbonation. Not as creamy as I was expecting from an oatmeal stout.

D - A solid stout that I'd happily drink again. I liked the aroma a bit more than the flavor in the balance between sweetness and roast, but the taste is thankfully quite restrained in char too. Nate and I had no problem sharing a pint of this one, and it's a nice dark option with an otherwise hop-heavy tap list.

Appearance - Very dark. No light getting through. One finger of head hanging around a good while. Thick lacing.

Smell - Pretty mild for FFF. Malty, slight hint of hops.

Taste - Roasted malts and oats. Slight bit of hop bitterness hits the palate then fades away. A tiny bit of baker's chocolate pokes its head out like a prairie dog to say hi. Slight hints of dark fruit lingering in the distant background. Hops reappear in the aftertaste and stick around for a bit.

Mouthfeel - Thick, finishes wet.

Overall - A light, slightly bitter, smooth drinker. Very good but nothing crazy or out of the ordinary. Would definitely drink again.
