Cool beer for a great record store in Wicker Park. Pours an orange tiger eye color with a nice head. Nose consists of onion, dank, earthy hops with some spicy rye notes. Taste opens up with citrusy hops, which move on to caramel malts; these are quickly overwhelmed by a barrage of onion, dank hops with a subtle amount of spicy rye malts. Mouth is full and smooth. Overall, this is a solid rye IPA...I love this style and I love the execution of FFF's part.

Review from notes...

Poured a pale golden honey color with 2 fingers of bright white foamy head.

The aroma bursting out of my glass was filled with spicy rye and some really dank hops!

The taste was dominated by some very dank and citrus hops with spicy rye characteristics flying co pilot. Had a slight malt backbone. Very tasty.

Medium bodied with the perfect amount of carbonation. Very drying hop filled finish. Left me with some very hop dragon like breath.

Overall, this beer was fantastic. Dank as hell, fully of spice and easy to drink.

Amazing. Rich, citrus, perfect. I don't have much to say other then perfection. This is another one I had fresh and then 6 months after the fresher the better. This is another one I wouldn't sit on which I am sure that is not an option as they only made it once. So I don't even know if there is any out there. I know this has nothing to do with the beer but a great label as well. Floyd's just keeps killing it.

Tanks merc for sharing

The beer pours a clear amber with a thin off-white head that laces. The nose is citrusy hoppy with a touch of rye spice and malt. The taste is relatively underwhelming with an expected amount of citrus hoppiness and touch rye spice. I could imagine this taste popping with a fresh bottle. The mouthfeel is almost syrupy sweet with a lingering spiciness. Good beer that'd be made great with freshness.

2012 bomber into snifter glass.

A: Amber Hue, Passes Some Light, White Head Ring, Great Lacing

S: Rye, Sweet Malts, Green Tea

T: Rye, Green Tea, Malty

M: Great Carbonation, Medium Bodied, Mildly Malty

Overall, I wished I had this fresh instead of sitting on it...but still pretty solid with some age.
