Poured from a 22oz. bottle into pint glass.

A: Pours a hazy dark yellow with a light brown tint. A nice 1 finger head that dissipates quickly leaving no visible lace worth mentioning.

S: Big yeast on the tip with a tinge of sweet sugars and nice spices.

T: The same yeast from the nose is present, but the spices are much more present than what I picked up from the smell. There is a surprising alcohol heat finish that lasts for about 1 secod followed by a nice sweet sugar.

M: Medium bodied that is both creamy and smooth. Light carbonation that leaves a nice sweet film over the tongue.

O: I thought this was a decent saison, but its flavors give off more of a tripel vibe than a saison. It was ok, but there are 4-5 saisons I'd choose over it.

A- Straw yellow with a white bubbly head less than a finger tall. Head disappears almost completely.

S- Peppery and more phenolic than I expected. Slight amount of citrus, lemon with possible hints of orange. Sweet malt picks up in the middle and continues into the finish.

T- Immediate malty flavor with a crackery taste evident. Phenol taste once again comes across pronounced as the flavor turns toward the middle. In the middle, a peppery taste picks up and proceeds to the finish of the beer. The end of the beer is met with some slight bitterness and a slightly off flavor, although I cannot quite put my finger on it.

M- Medium light body with relatively low carbonation. Beer is sweeter than I expected with a saison, but does dry out towards the end.

O- A little disappointed in this beer. The taste seems slightly muddled compared to the classic aspects of the style.
