Notes:
A throwback historical ale brewed when English IPA's were hopped up to last the long voyage from England to Colonial troops in India, using English malts, English hops, English yeast and aged slightly on toasted oak for a 19th century taste.

a - pour is light brown with a off white head that dissipates somewhat quickly.
s - very light pine hops. nose is mostly malts and caramel sweetness. reminds me of a lighter barleywine.
t - earthly hops flavor balanced wonderfully by the sweeter malt body. light bitter finish to remind you its an ipa.
m - medium body, good carbonation. kind of a dry finish.
overall - I've only had a few english ipa's, but this might be the best i've had. i really like the style as I'm not a huge hop head. if you like english ipa's, give this one a try. 9% alcohol very well hidden.
