My wife picked this one up for me when she went back to Chicago. This was one of the beers she carried 15 blocks from the train station to her brother's house. God I love her!

Poured into a pint glass.

A: Light bronze in color, moderate carbonation, and a small 1/3 inch head; slightly hazy but not too.

S: Yep.... this is a FFF product alright. Pine and citrus galore, without too much bitterness - this is probably a result of the wood aging. Malt, malt, hops, malt, hops!

T: I don't know how these guys do it. Observation: Judging a beer by its alcohol content detectability is part of the reviewing game: Can you detect the ABV? Is the beer balanced? These are but a few of the questions one asks when reviewing a brew that one tries to constantly answer. In the case of this brew (and just about every FFF IPA), the alcohol is definitely there .... it is just coated with candy! Caramel, sweet tarts, gummy bears, pixie stick dust, and many others attach themselves to the alcohol granules of FFF products like no other.

M: Sweeter than Dreadnaught, but once again.... candy-coated alcohol.

D: English-style IPAs are my thing, and this is the best of them. Quite simply, the best IPA I've ever tasted!
