22 oz bomber. The beer is a solid copper color with a finger of head that falls to a full coat over top. The brew is crystal clear with a steady stream of carbonation as it sits in the glass. The aroma is an assault of pine hop that is incredibly resinous. The malt in this one is huge as well. It is dripping with caramel and some perceived white candy sugar sweetness. There is a little bready and earthyness in there as well, but it is well in the background. The flavor is nice and balanced, with pine hop hitting first, moving to a sweet caramel and spun sugar sweetness. This moves then to a very strong earthyness, and finishes with a strong but very clean bitterness on the finish that lingers really long, and almost comes across as a prickle sensation on the sides of my tongue. I equate this with the massive hop presence in the brew. Mouthfeel is thick and slick, with a light carbonation. The brew is extremely drying, which I think detracts a little from the experience. Overall, I am impressed with the massive flavor and hop presence that this one has but also with the balance it brings with the malt and sweetness. It is not a hardcore drinking beer, but it is not a sipper. It is balanced all the way around. It will certainly kick your tongue and let it know that it means business. I enjoy it. Another winner.

Pours a cloudy dark copper color with amber edges and a one finger off-white head that quickly settles into a lasting ring. Sporadic streaks and spots of lacing left behind.
Slightly herbal and surprisingly hop forward aroma with resinous, grassy pine needle along with leathery malt, sweet booze and dark fruit notes. Slightly earthy with a floral, grassy hop presence followed by leathery malt, caramel, toffee, fig, raisin and alcohol.
On the fuller end of medium bodied with a balance of dry, earthy hops, leathery malt and dark fruit. The hop presence is still pretty strong but it's a bit stale with prominent resinous bitterness that lingers over the sweeter notes into a bone dry finish. This is countered mid-palate by earthy, leathery malt and dark fruit sweetness. Hints of plum, raisin and fig followed by some sweet, boozy heat. Slight warmth in the finish but the high ABV is relatively well masked.

I acquired this 10th Anniversary beer through trade. Very happy I was able to pull this off! Poured from 650ml bottle into a tulip glass. I absolutely love the LCD-laced label! Pours burnt orange along with a medium white head that dissipates into very thin lacing that seldomly lasts throughout. I kept in mind that this beer has been in existence since 2007. Aroma is mysterious. Picking up some barleywine kind of aromatics like the Oatgoop beer.I pick up some lemon/orange zest and oat in the flavors. Thin to medium mouthfeel with decent carbonation. This brew did show it’s age and wish I had it fresh! Sure glad to had tried it in any case.

Huge thanks to weirdbeer (Joe) for busting this out at DLD. It poured brighter than I anticipated. It was a bright orange with reddish highlights and a light white lacing. I took a whiff of the bottle before it was poured and the hops that remained were surprising and resinous. The nose was much less hoppy once the beer was poured into glasses. It smelled of sweet malts and citrusy resin. The flavors were a mixture of honey, oranges, sweet pale malts, and candied sugar. It didn't have the carbonation that I'm sure it had in its younger days but it was pretty solid and a joy to try. I didn't expect to see this one and it was more than welcome at DLD.

One of the first beers that I cellared. Picked up when FFF distributed to Ohio.
Reviewed from notes.
A. Pours red/amber/ruby with orange highlights with a small foamy white head that leaves bits of residual lacing. There are lots of yeast globs in suspension.
S. Hoppy out of the bottle - surprisingly so. Then out of the glass it was very malt forward - like a barley wine with a significant amount of honey.
T. Surprisingly hoppy upfront with honey, malt, citrus, and caramel. Still quite alcoholic on the tongue.
M. Medium body with a creamy carbonation. It looks like there is no carbonation left, but it's quite creamy and smooth.
D. Quite hoppy for the three years it has spent in my cellar. Good overall, but much different than I expected.

Thanks w113raf for this tasty birthday treat!
Appearance- pours a Carmel color with a bit of foamy head that dissipated fairly quickly. Lots of particulate floating around and not very bubbly.
Smell- really hoppy smell out of the bottle. But now that it's in a glass it smells incredibly mAlty...
Taste- very malty and a bit boozy. Hints of caramel and fruit.
Mouthfeel- better carbonation than it looked.
Drinkability- a bit strong to be too drinkable but a very good brew!!

This one was highly anticipated.. shared with BA buddy yingaling
A: Pours a deep copper orange with a thin off-white head that actually leaves a thin lacing as you drink. Very hazy and thick looking.
S: Sweet and fruity. It smells like caramel malts and citrusy, maybe apricots or oranges. There is a slight sting from the alcohol.
T: This is one tasty beer! It has held up to the aging quite well.. not sure just how long it has been since it was brewed. There is a small bite from the alcohol to start, ever so subtle, followed by a rush of sweet caramel malts with fruity backnotes. As you swallow you get some yeast and a great touch of hoppy bitterness.
M: Very smooth and thicker in body. Bitter and slightly dry finish, but tastes totally awesome.
D: Honestly, I think the aging probably did this one some good. Never had it fresh so I can't be certain. The alcohol level is masked very well and the flavors have blended well together. Very drinkable. So glad to know there is another bottle waiting for me where I found this one!

Courtesy of dkachur at the C'ville tasting--thanks!
A: Pours a creamy reddish orange (though with slight hints of slightly green) with very little head--though the bottle was sitting open for a few minutes at the tasting before I got around to getting a chance to pour mine. There's a faint ring of bubbles around the glass. A bit hazy.
S: Sweet sugar syrup and caramel along with really sweet floral notes and honey--VERY sweet lilies and toffee. As well as butterscotch.
T: A floral lily of the valley in the taste as well as delicious hops and pine. Heavy honey as well. Also decently sugary, caramel, molasses and brown sugar. Citrusy, light lemon and grapefruit. Less sour and hoppy and more sweet as it warms, almost becoming caramelized and sugary. There's also a note of anise present. Very nice.
M: very light, dances on your tongue. Medium bodied and a hoppy aftertaste. The carbonation persists--quite nice.
D: pretty darn drinkable.
