22oz bottle into a pint glass. No freshness dating, but I'm sure this is more than 5 years old.
Black body, initial oatmeal head doesn't last long, no lacing. Earthy strong coffee aroma. On tasting, again, strong coffee flavor, nicely sweet. Finish is drying and a little dusty.
Overall, very impressed how the coffee note has held up. Wouldn't hesitate to grab this again.

My good friend and old neighbor from the 'Wego gave me a bottle of this beer. It poured an opaque dark with tan head that is leaving some lace. The scent had bold coffee notes with mild cocoa nib highlights. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with strong coffee malt base and subtle molasses and toffee flare. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a solid beer.

Imperial/Double Oatmeal Stout.
7.7 % ABV. 54 IBU.
Three Floyds Brewing, Munster, IN.
Full-on ebony. Espresso-tinged head. 100% Opacity.
In the nose: High-powered coffee notes here, earthy and raw. Little bit of cocoa below.
In the mouth: hmmm, tasty. Full-bodied oatmeal stout, rich and redolent of intense coffee flavors. Smooth stuff, extra drinkable. Slight sweetness, touch of nuts, dried fruits. Delicious.

L: like a coffee stout should.
S: chocolate and coffee. Molasses.
T: same as smell. Some roasted malt flavor. Pretty light and sweet. Milky.
F: appropriate for a stout. Not too thick or thin. Creamy and soft. Milky. Would have guessed much lower abv in 5% range.
Overall: Pleasant. Reminds me of a mocha or a milk stout.

Excellent stout. Well crafted. Not to hoppy with a well balanced flavor profile.

Has a strange tinny aroma and flavor. Something is not right with the coffee used here. Expected much better considering the BA score. Solid look and mouthfeel.
