Bottled in a huge 650ml bomber
Pours a light brown body with decent enough foaming white head
Aroma is slightly perfumed with the mix of rye and flowery notes
The flavour is similar with a very pleasing bitter finish
Seems a bigger beer than the abv
Just slightly too much carb tho

I purchased this bottle that I found out from the brewery was at least 1 year old at Ski Liquors in lake Tahoe poured from the bomber into a glass chilled. The liquid foamed out rapidly but the majority was save after uncapping
The color is a turbid amber with thick head that settles with good retention avg bead and lace sticks. The smell is citrus oriented with a orange-ish smell with malt and low hop aroma with herbal quality and mostly orange with floral orange-blossom type scent. The feel is tangy and light with medium carbonation and mild bitterness and sweetness with a mostly dry finish.
The taste has a light orange with some toast malt with marmalade type element that is citrus dominant I am guessing from the hops yet the rye flavor is present with a light spice and gentle bitterness in the taste as it finishes dry. Overall a great pale -lots of flavor which I imagine can only be from hops with no astringency and low bitterness -very quaffable. I want to try some fresh now to see what the difference is if it ages this well(it was in the cooler)

Reddish orange pour with a thick off white head that hangs and leaves lacing. Rye and orange in the nose. The taste is orange, rye and a malt sweetness that has caramel tastes. Overall a nice beer.

22oz bottle. Bottled on 2014-10-17. Poured into tulip.
A: Hazy. Cropper. Large amount of head (5 fingers high), with moderate retention.
S: Starfruit. Lychee. Grapefruit. Cloves. Little hints of sourness.
T: Cloves. Tropical fruits. Mildly toasty. Moderate bitterness. Dry.
M: Light bodied. High carbonation.
O: Pretty rye forward, but unfortunately the hoppy characters are somewhat overwhelming. Fruity and flavorful. Not bad.

This was poured into a nonic pint glass.
The appearance was a dark amber, almost brown color with a one finger white foamy head that rapidly dissipated leaving light lacing glossing around the glass.
The smell starts off with the rye leads to subtle breadiness and then has a subtle sweet underscore of citrus fruit.
The taste copies the smell and brings in the rye to balance nicely with some bitter tones.
The mouthfeel had a crisp sharp bitter harshness over my tongue. I'd say it was about light to medium bodied.
Overall, this was a really nice rye beer. I'd have this again.

A tasty Rye PA. Not outstanding, but I would be happy to be standing around with this in my hand. I'm not a huge fan of this style of beer, but Heretic has done a decent job of creating a drinkable brew.

Appearance - Pours a copper brown with two fingers of foamy cream coloured head.
Smell - citrus and leafy hops, rye malts, caramel, orange peel, grapefruit rind, hint of pine needles.
Taste - Starts off with the citrus and leafy hops followed by the orange peel, grapefruit rind and hint of pine needles. The brew finishes off with the rye malts.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with light to moderate carbonation. Finishes off dry with both the hops and malts lingering in the aftertaste.
Overall - An enjoyable rye beer. However, I feel that the rye malts are subdued compared to the hops. Otherwise, an enjoyable brew that hits the mark.
