On-tap at Beachwood Brewing

Pours a slightly hazed golden color with a white head. Really bright, fresh hop nose. Tons of citrus, particularly grapefruit peel. Some hints of tropical fruit, light grass and herbal notes, and a healthy dose of pine. Both the nose and taste are largely devoid of malt character. Some serious pone and grapefruit peel bitterness. A bit of tangerine along with the grapefruit, some touches of pineapple, and a mild grass note. Very crisp, dry, easy drinking pale ale.

On tap at Beachwood BBQ & Brewing in Long Beach, CA.

Pours a hazy yellow with a foamy beige head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Foamy streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of earthy, herbal, and dank hops, some vegetal aromas, and malt. Taste is much the same with a high amount of herbal hop bitterness on the palate after each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp but medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer but features some pretty intense hop aromas and flavors.
