Lightly hazed golden and yellow. Small near-white head, though it quickly disappears to a thin film across the top of the beer. Leaves the glass fairly clean.

Wheat and mild lactic sour notes present, along with some lemon. Simple, yet very appropriate.

Incredibly drinkable: lots of wheat, some tartness, a bit of lemon. Simple, straightforward, yet delicious and incredibly drinkable.

Thin bodied with high carbonation. Gulpable.

Excellent. Straightforward. A classic. I should have filled a growler of this.

Here we have a beer with a pale blonde color and a puffy, airy head sitting on top. Retention is quite good, and it leaves a few spots of lace. The aroma brings a little tartness, but it actually brings more of a malted wheat note, akin to that of a pale wheat ale. Happily, there is a rebound of tartness when tasted, which puts it on the mark per style. It does also posses some malted wheat sweetness, which gives the impression that this is 50% Berliner, and 50% pale what ale. The body is light, with pleasant and gentle carbonation, which helps make the beer go down.

Here's a pleasant starter to any meal or beer flight. Well, to anyone that isn't Principal Skinner.

Pours a cloudy golden straw color with a white head. Has a bit of a lager aroma to it. Quite a bit of yeast and wheat, but not that much in the way of lactic acidity, maybe some grassy notes. The flavor is a bit metallic with most of the flavor being wheat and bread. No real tartness to it, just a bit of lemon zest. Kind of a let down.

On tap at Beachwood Long Beach.

A: Light yellow with a fast fading white head. 

S: Grainy and lightly sweet. Lactic notes are pronounced. There's a mild tartness with some lemon character.

T: Lightly tart with a firm lactic presence. Some acidic lemon with grainy and doughy malt. The finish had a low lactic sourness with more lemon and acidity.

M: Light body with high carbonation.

Overall: A solid Berliner. Very light and pretty subtle but extremely drinkable.

A: It has the dull shine of an amiable glass of pinot grigio, like yellow radiance with pure translusence that you can see right through like drunken pickup lines. Nice clarity and Juicy Juicy character that has minimal carbonation, but like a Hootie and the Blowfisk record, you'll tolerate it.

S: The smell is pretty tame and doesn't rope a dope any punches on the acidic front but it does contribute a nice lemony zest with some light musk. This could be more wafty, but for the ABV and grain bill, you can't demand the world I suppose. I get a mild gose-esqye salinity that I actually think smells crisp and refreshing, like biting into a pear.

T: This is one of the most refreshing beers that I have had recently. With the slew of high abv winter releases, it's good to tone things down a bit and have just a splash of juice and lemony jazz up in my mouth hole. You could put this in a Michelob Ultra bike bottle and refresh yourself on a long half century ride, if you were a negligent ass cyclist. There's a nice pear and apple aspect to it that just screams summer fun like Super Soaking jamammy with a water pistol.

M: This is incredibly light, with a mild salty tartness and faint drying aspect. This doesn't wipe out the gumline, but keeps you looking for that next sip.

D: This is where this beer shines, a growler is an appropriate serving for one so plan accordingly. The refreshing taste coupled with the tart notes and the low ABV means that some lawns are getting mowed at the helm of this gentle fawn. Hell, enough growlers and you might even get that Trans-AM running that you have been putting off for so long. Sky's the limit with this Berliner.

Pours a clear light yellow with a bone colored head that settles to a film on top of the beer. No lacing on this one. Smell is of grain and lemon aromas. Taste is grain, lemon, and acidic flavors. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer but the smell is lacking in my opinion.
