Growler shared at a tasting at MrHirschybar's place.
Pours a clear amber with a light tan head that settles to a film on the top of the beer. No lacing on this one. Smell is of malt and a very sweet candy citrus aroma. Almost artificial smelling. Taste is of malt and sugary citrus zest. A very noticeable alcohol burn in the back of the throat with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly flat mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer taste wise but it is extremely sweet.

Nice clear amber colour with a smooth light tan head. Fair head retention.
Big caramel. Some citrus but this is big, big malt. Some acetaldehyde.
Acetaldehyde and caramel toffee malts. Big bitterness and nice citrus. An interesting mix but the flaws kill it.
Medium full body with moderate carbonation. Okay.
A decent beer but there is a fermentation flaw here. Not much to do about that. Close but no cigar.

App- A good bit of a nice dark amber with some crimson in it as well. A little bit of a ½ finger of head was there and receded to a bit of a pond layer. Couple dots of cling and that was it.
Smell- A bit more candy on the nose making this smell very sweet. Some backing malts blend together with a bit of a earthy note as well..
Taste- I thought it was a pretty good base barleywine. It had a good hop/malt balance with just a touch of bitterness to it. Strong malts make it a bit thick on the taste. A little bit more earthy for choice of hops.
Mouth- A light-medium bodied beer with somewhat of a medium/low carbonation level. Pretty thick malts remain on this one with some bitterness.
Drink- I enjoyed it. It got the palate to open a bit with some newer malts and some freshness behind it. I wouldnt mind having this one again.

On-tap at Beachwood I,
A: Pours a medium to dark amber with a creamy long-lasting white head, some thick lace make for a nice looking beer.
S: Heavy crystal type malt, some greenery, weeds, hint of citrus.
T: Not the hop bomb I expected going in, this is much more like Old Numbskull than Old Crustacean or Bigfoot. Lots of rich malt, citrusy hops with a hint of tropicality. Nothing mind-blowing, but good stuff here.
M: Full-bodied, rich, crisp carbonation, does have a smoothness about it, just a slight hint of alcohol, never hot.
O: A nice solid American barleywine, good thing to release this in end of January/February. Kyle said that this begs to be in barrel, and I agree, lets see what Julian does.

On tap at Toronado for Beachwood night.
A: It's hard to see color in this lighting, but the body appears dark brown. The head is a finger of beige foam.
S: Pine and a dash of citrus. Caramel blends with toffee and earth. The nose is quite hoppy.
T: Caramel accompanies a dark toffee note. Pine is evident and there's an upper moderate bitterness. Alcohol is present but not harsh.
M: Upper medium body with medium carbonation.
Overall: A good American Barleywine. This would be a good one to barrel age *hint*.

On-tap at Beachwood Brewing
Pours an almost perfect copper color with a frothy off-white head. A pleasant toasted malt aroma and a strong pine and resin hop character. There is also some grapefruit peel and lots of toffee and caramel. The flavor has an almost woody flavor initially from the intense pine hop character. Lots of toasted malt as well as caramel, toffee, and a touch of brown sugar. There is a pleasant fruitiness that comes through as the beer warms up. Full bodied with medium carbonation.
