Thanks to someone for sharing at bu11zeye’s 10,000th rating tasting. I believe it was shared by bman1113vr, but I may be wrong.
The beer pours a dark brown to black color with a tan head. The aroma has a ton of chocolate and roasted malt in it. The flavor is more of the same, with the chocolate and roasted malt complimented by some smoked notes. The beer is fairly sweet overall and the alcohol is fairly well hidden. Thick mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

On tap @ Bruery Provisions
Look: Black and opaque with a 1/8 inch head and zero retention leaves behind a nice milk chocolate colored coating down the glass
Smell: Licorice and chocolate
Taste: Very lacking in the flavor department. The beer is just very malty with no real character to it. There is some chocolate malt licorice and ash present
Mouthfeel: Full body and low carbonation and very sticky
Overall: Having had this one right after Tovarish this one was a complete let down and honestly just very uninteresting

On Tap
The Bruery Provisions
Orange, CA
Black throughout with a small brown head that leaves dots of lacing.
Big aroma of roasted malts, dark fruits, chocolate, coffee, and some licorice.
The licorice flavors are more prominent in the flavor than they are in the aroma, with the roasted malt and dark chocolate character following next.
Medium to full bodied with moderate carbonation.
Good, though Tovarish is significantly better.

On tap at The Bruery Provisions in Orange, CA.
Pours an opaque black with a dark khaki head that fades to an oily film on the top of the beer. Small dots of lace form on the glass on the drink down. Smell is of dark roasted malt and some slight cocoa aromas. Taste is of dark roasted malt, some acidic coffee flavors, and subtle cocoa. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly flat mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer but the flavors are slightly muddled.

On-tap at Beachwood Brewing
Pours black with a finger of khaki colored head. Heavy on the roasted malts with a strong coffee and licorice note. There is a touch of burnt sugar aroma to it as well. Definitely a bit of molasses and dark chocolate, too. The flavor is similar. Somewhat bitter with all of the roast, molasses, and coffee flavors. A touch of sweetness of licorice and toffee. Some burnt sugar and a little bit of cocoa and dark chocolate. Medium to full bodied with low carbonation.

On tap at Toronado for Beachwood night.
A: Black as a moonless night. The head is brown and exhibits good retention. Lacing is scattered.
S: Earthy semisweet chocolate and roasted malt. There's a whisper of coffee and a little cocoa. Licorice accompanies a faint molasses note.
T: Roasted grains meld with dark chocolate and licorice. Molasses is light and bitterness is earthy in character.
M: Full body with upper medium carbonation. The mouthfeel is chewy and sticky.
Overall: A nice RIS. Recommended.

Enjoyed on tap as part of the Darkside flight at Bruery Provisions. A little sour, a sipper, but good tasting. Big roast aroma. Average mouthfeel, which is below par for a RIS. Somewhat too roasty to be very drinkable. Chocolate, nuts, burnt almond, unusual hopping. Altogether different, but I much preferred their Tovar RIS. Still impressed with Beachwood offerings.

On-tap at Beachwood II,
A: Pours black with a light fizzy off-white head, some lace.
S: Dark chocolate, licorice, very dark malty smell.
T: Heavy sweet roasted malt and dark chocolate, brownie like at times. Expansive flavour.
M: Full-bodied, this is not bashful, everything about this beer is big. Creamy, attacks the palate.
O: Very impressive. Straight up RIS is becoming somewhat of a dying breed lately. A great beer by Beachwood to bring it back.
