Had this on tap at the brewpub a couple days ago. 99+ IBUs (in fact, 5 of the 8 beers on the printed menu are 99+ IBUs, a hophead's deam!). This review is from notes.

Pours a clear peach color with a big frothy head. It recedes to a ring pretty quickly but leaves plenty of chunks of foam on the glass. The aroma is distilled hop bitterness. Pine resins and concentrated grapefruit extract. The taste is a wall of uncompromising bitterness. oily citrus and herbaceous hop flavors smack my palate with every sip. Malt is almost AWOL, providing just a bit of grainyness in the back. The mouthfeel is infinitely bitter and lasts forever. hop oils coat my mouth for a long time.

This is an archetypal west coast IPA. Hugely bitter and unrestrained. the complexity of the hops make it as contemplative as it is puckering. A must try for a hophead in LA.

Churchill's Pub & Grille
San Marcos, CA

Amber in color. Small white head. Lined, sticky lacing.

Grapefruit flesh and zest in the aroma. Some pine and resin as well along with caramel and floral notes.

Bitter but drinkable IPA. Lots of grapefruit and bitter citrus. Some pine and resin along with a bit of sweet caramel.

Medium body with crisp carbonation.

Really enjoyed this. Beachwood is making fantastic IPAs.

On tap at Beachwood BBQ & Brewing in Long Beach, CA.

Pours a clear honey orange with a foamy beige head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Small streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of citrus fruit, citrus zest, and some really nice tropical fruit aromas. Taste is much the same with a medium amount of hop bitterness on the palate that lingers after each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a really tasty beer with some great aromas and flavors that make is super easy to drink.

Clear golden colour with a creamy offwhite head. Fair head retention and stunning lacing.

Massive citrus and tropical fruit aroma with lots of mango and mandarin. Light malt sweetness. Awesome.

Hops, hops and more effing hops. This rocks. Lots of passionfruit and mango with a dose of grapefruit to bring it all together. Seriously light malt.

Medium body with moderate carbonation. Perfect.

A simply stunning beer. Possibly the best beer of my trip. Big hoppy flavours with enough bitterness and a really laid back malt profile.
