A new brewery in the middle of the Santa Fe art district. This area is starting to fill in, so the location is probably a good one for the future. Plenty of street parking and a sign off Santa Fe makes it convenient and easy to find.
Looks like a converted garage. Seems like that's a good plan for a brewery due to the size and ability to gut everything. Within the tasting room there's a normal sized bar with room for a dozen people as well as 10-15 smaller tables. I also always appreciate the beer resting rail, too. Not the biggest place in town, but it's pretty good sized. You can see all of the equipment and kegs via a window to the back and it looks like they have a ton of room. A quick glance at the roof and walls and you can see that they've re-built almost everything in the building. It's a really nice looking place.
They have a pretty large line-up of beers, especially for a newer spot. They had a blonde, rye IPA, amber, Mexican lager with chilis, red, coffee pale, imperial porter, barleywine, and a small batch milk chocolate stout. Oddly enough, I though the normally "boring" styles like the blonde and red were stellar and probably their best although everything was solid. I'm not a huge fan of the recent "dank" trend for IPAs, so that was the only miss for me. Tasters were $1 to $1.50 for a pretty big pour and pints were $4-5. A $4 snifter of a good barleywine is a definite winner. Dare I say it, but they might have taken the "value" title from Funkwerks with such a massive sampler and affordable pints.
Friendly service, too. Like a few other places - the owners are handling everything themselves for now.
Another excellent new brewery with a cool atmosphere and beers worth seeking out. Considering the locale, it can also probably be a good mini-trip along with the Rackhouse, Breckenridge, and Strange which aren't too far.
EDIT: It's worth mentioning that it's VERY easy to get here from the 10th and Osage light rail stop. As a result, you can lump Renegade in with the easy to reach spots from downtown.
EDIT 2: After (roughly) a year, Renegade has actually gotten better. They've launched several "big" seasonals over the last year that have been wonderful and their IIPA (Elevation) is up there with the best around. They've also expanded seating, too.

A great experience. A really nice space in an off part of town. The beers range from fair to very good. We enjoyed everything from a simply easy to drink golden ale to an imperial stout and a DIPA. Very nice range from the brewery. The staff is very helpful. Just a really cool place to hang in Denver.

Place was packed which means possibly means two things, one being they make great beer and two being they need a bigger place. It was somewhat difficult in getting a flight but when I did I was definitely impressed, especially with their Rye IPA (which it seems is much better on tap than in a can). I had one other substantial beer that I can't recall off the top of my head, but one thing for sure is I expect a metaphoric rise by this brewery in the coming years.

Just off the main Santa Fe arts drag is located Renegade Brewing. The brewery is located in a small building with two rolling garage doors that are opened in nice weather. Walking through the main door the bar is straight ahead and seating is to the left of the bar. The atmosphere is slightly industrial and the clientele young professionals, you know the type-those who ride bikes to work and are likely in the tech industry, a pretty chill place.
We had a sampler that included; Ryeteous (Rye IPA), Descendant (Pale Ale), Elevation (DIPA), and a few more including a Russian Imperial Stout. We really enjoyed the Elevation and the Russian Imperial Stout.
The service was very good and though they didn’t have food there was a Cuban/Vietnamese sandwich truck parked outside

Its been fun watching this place open and grow. I thought that the location was perfect for a brewery,(right next to the Sante fe art district and an up-and-coming younger neighborhood) and that they would immediately have success, which seems like what is happening.
I have been extremely impressed with the creativity and selection of their brew lineup, and they always keep it interesting. I'm particuarly fond of their dark, strong beers like their imperial porters and stouts. Their hoppy beers have not quite got my attention yet, but they are a new brewery and have plenty of time to work on them. Their head brewer has shown that he knows exactly what he's doing and what people would like to try.
The staff is small, and the brewroom often gets crowded, but they work hard and fast at serving their patrons. There are food trucks everywhere outside to take care of hunger, and there is normally a good selection to choose from.

I've hit Renegade regularly in the past year or so after becoming their beer via a guest tap @ Breckenridge's Anniversary celebration. The Rye IPA is splendid and consistently so and it's become my favorite. Renegade also has 5 to 6 others on tap and on a recent visit, I sampled a Imperial Stout, a Red IPA and a Double Pils - all were superbly crafted and extraordinarily drinkable. Great atmosphere, too - it's patronized by locals and members of Denver's beer community, all kindred spirits.
