Place was packed which means possibly means two things, one being they make great beer and two being they need a bigger place. It was somewhat difficult in getting a flight but when I did I was definitely impressed, especially with their Rye IPA (which it seems is much better on tap than in a can). I had one other substantial beer that I can't recall off the top of my head, but one thing for sure is I expect a metaphoric rise by this brewery in the coming years.

Visited on 10/12/12. GABF Week. (Stop #3 of the day)

A: Nice place, open space, bar can hold about 12 patrons, plenty of tables surrounding, nice brick walls and roll up front garage doors for when the weather is nicer.

Q: Decent quality beers, very drinkable, nothing that will blow you away but wont disappoint you either.

S: Bartender was prompt, attentive and friendly...not overly knowledgeable about the beers but knew the bascs to get by.

S: 8 beers on tap that covered the various styles but nothing out of the ordinary either.

V: 5 bucks per pint, which is par for the area of Denver.

Overall, they do not serve food but there was a food truck parked out front of it. A nice stop if you are bouncng from place to place...have only been open for a little over a year but not doing anything really out there, very safe beers.

Just off the main Santa Fe arts drag is located Renegade Brewing. The brewery is located in a small building with two rolling garage doors that are opened in nice weather. Walking through the main door the bar is straight ahead and seating is to the left of the bar. The atmosphere is slightly industrial and the clientele young professionals, you know the type-those who ride bikes to work and are likely in the tech industry, a pretty chill place.

We had a sampler that included; Ryeteous (Rye IPA), Descendant (Pale Ale), Elevation (DIPA), and a few more including a Russian Imperial Stout. We really enjoyed the Elevation and the Russian Imperial Stout.

The service was very good and though they didn’t have food there was a Cuban/Vietnamese sandwich truck parked outside

Its been fun watching this place open and grow. I thought that the location was perfect for a brewery,(right next to the Sante fe art district and an up-and-coming younger neighborhood) and that they would immediately have success, which seems like what is happening.

I have been extremely impressed with the creativity and selection of their brew lineup, and they always keep it interesting. I'm particuarly fond of their dark, strong beers like their imperial porters and stouts. Their hoppy beers have not quite got my attention yet, but they are a new brewery and have plenty of time to work on them. Their head brewer has shown that he knows exactly what he's doing and what people would like to try.

The staff is small, and the brewroom often gets crowded, but they work hard and fast at serving their patrons. There are food trucks everywhere outside to take care of hunger, and there is normally a good selection to choose from.

I've hit Renegade regularly in the past year or so after becoming their beer via a guest tap @ Breckenridge's Anniversary celebration. The Rye IPA is splendid and consistently so and it's become my favorite. Renegade also has 5 to 6 others on tap and on a recent visit, I sampled a Imperial Stout, a Red IPA and a Double Pils - all were superbly crafted and extraordinarily drinkable. Great atmosphere, too - it's patronized by locals and members of Denver's beer community, all kindred spirits.

Finally made my way over to Renegade after work to fill some growlers. A little off the beaten path but that's certainly ok. It was a nice day so the windows were open. A few people were enjoying themselves at the bar. I walked in and was immediately served, super friendly, excellent service. It was early and before rush hour so I can't say how crowded it gets but there was a lot of room. Nice beer list. They had a food truck arriving shortly but I was too early. Filled my growlers and was on my way, not too expensive at all. Easy to get in and out. I found myself enjoying the place quite well, I look forward to heading back.

My wife and I have visited this place now twice. Nice laid back atmosphere. Very clean, new building. Each time we were there the owners were working behind the bar.
This Saturday was 'pretzel Saturday' They paired a chocolate peanut butter pretzel with a Imperial Chocolate Peanut Butter Cub Stout. Really tasty pairing! The beers here pack a punch and very hoppy beers. Easy place to find and a brewery we like to frequent for a beer or two when in Denver. My favorite beers by the brewery are the Elevation IPA weighing in at 11% and the Ryeteous IPA that is suppose to be canned in the future.

It must be stated first that this place is new. And as with all new ventures (aside from those sprouting from already established businesses) this place has very sparse overhead. This isn't a bad thing. Yet when one walks in it seems a bit isolated. I arrived on a Monday night, so probably not the best time to take in the 'crowd'. It was very quiet, soft music playing. Conversations were quiet yet the rooms wasn't like those old Irish pubs--cozy.

But it wasn't a dump. It was new, somewhat basic. Reminds me of some KC BBQ places that just have folding tables and wooden chairs--with the best BBQ. Well, this place isn't quite that simple. The L-shape bar is nice looking. The window to the brewing facility is nice. Overall this is a good place to grab a beer. Walking distance from Breckenridge BBQ is a nice plus if you're hungry.

pretty good selection for a new place. I counted 7 beers on tap. Service was friendly. He was busy filling growlers most of the time. Beer to go...great idea!

About a block from the Denver Art District on Santa Fe, this brewery is in the prime spot for grabbing a beer before or after first Fridays. A small place on 9th Ave, it has a bar that seats about 12-14 or so and about 8 smaller tables that seat 4, in addition a garage door that opens up to the sidewalk, I imagine it serves as patio space during the summer, but not sure. A lot of woodworking in the brewery with a beautiful wood bar top and what appears to be handmade wood tap handles.

The brewery is drinks only and at the time there was only 1 bartender, but did a good job serving everyone in the joint. Games and books to read if you're going with friends. There was about 8 beers on tap and tastings were $1-$2 and was able to try their entire lineup for $13, with 5 or so over 8% ABV. The beer was incredible with some solid favorites like their Rye IPA and some new beers that they brew small batches of.

Excellent place and probably a favorite as THE Baker neighborhood hangout.

This was the last of our Denver brewery tour. Not too far from Strange and the original Breckenridge.

This place was very interesting. Pretty much nestled in a housing area of the city. Big glass windows that people can look into the ceiling, L shaped bar that sat around 15 people with some tables for sitting down also. This place looks brand spanking new. Somewhat of a convereted over warehouse building with a high ceiling. Interesting take on a brewery. Even the paint on the floor looked brand new.

Anyways, this place was new, but pretty cool for us. We got in before they closed and were allowed to stay after hours. It ws the bartenders birthday and his friends stopped by for cake and beer.

The quality, service, and selection was good. All the beer is made weekly on the other side of the partition wall. There is some glass to look into the brewery. They only had 6 or 7 beers to choose from, so selection was limited, but plenty of room to expand their lineup. Service was good at the end of the night too. Food was not available and we paid with case. Not sure if they took credit cards.

We are happy we found this place and would like to know how much they will change by the next time we get to Denver.
