Poured from a 22oz bottle into a Half Acre snifter.
No bottle date. Cool label. Complementing color schemes throughout.
If you liked Southern Tier's Creme Brulee stout, you'll want this. You'll want it bad. Enjoyed the mouthfeel on this one. Nice to have something more dense after a lot of thinner stouts. Boozy. Good boozy. Excellent.

Bottle poured into a Greenbush snifter.
Pour: Oily dark brown with a nearly midnight black body. A finger of deep khaki head forms and leaves a little bit of lacing.
Smell: Wow. Incredibly roasted oak char, seamlessly mixed with creamy milk chocolate, butterscotch, and toffee. The butterscotch is definitely the most prevalent flavor, but everything else supports it very well. A hint of coffee. This smells perfect.
Taste: Again, woah. Huge oak char up front, mixed with clean bourbon vanilla, smooth roastiness, and sticky toffee. Loads of butterscotch and milk chocolate in the middle. As it warms, the roast on the back really owns with a delicious char and smooth vanilla. In no way is this beer smokey - simply roasty and full. Finished with sticky toffee, melted milk chocolate, and dry roasted oak.
Mouthfeel: The body of this is incredibly creamy and smooth. A nice sipper, at least simply for the oak character. A touch too sweet as it warms, but this isn't a major negative. A nice bourbon presence, but not much heat to speak of.
Overall: So Greenbush literally has made me eat (drink?) my words. This was one of the best barrel aged stouts I've ever had. Incredibly unique and unlike any other of the style I've had before.

Poured from a bomber from the 2012 release at the brewery. Pours nearly black. One of the thickest stouts Ive drank. A lot of malt went into this one.
Flavor is rich and complex. Cream stout with a rye bite on it is unique. will be grabbing another one of these if they are still around or next time its bottled. A real jewel by Greenbush.

Poured from a 22 oz bottle into a Pipeworks snifter.
A- pours black with a 1 finger dark cola head. Small bubbles and clumps of lacing cling to the glass.
S- chocolate, marshmallow, whiskey, vanilla.
T- dark chocolate, some roast, whiskey, some spice, vanilla and slight bitter coffee.
M- full body and medium carbonation. Very smooth, thick and creamy beer. Hides the abv very well.
O- amazing beer! Greenbush nailed it with this beer. I will be trying to get more of this for sure.
