12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours nearly opaque dark brown/black color with a 2 finger dense and rocky light khaki head with awesome retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, toasted oats, and dark/brown bread; with lighter notes of nuttiness, vanilla, smoke, char, dark fruit, herbal, wood, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malt and light earthy hop/fruity yeast notes; with solid strength. A bit too yeasty, but not overpowering. Taste of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, toasted oats, and dark/brown bread; with light notes of nuttiness, vanilla, smoke, char, dark fruit, herbal, wood, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Light roast/char and herbal/woody/spicy hop bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, toasted oats, dark/brown bread, nuttiness, smoke, char, dark fruit, herbal, wood, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt and light earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; with a great roast/hop bitter/sweet balance; and zero acrid/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from hop/char bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready/grainy, and lightly sticky/chalky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 6.7%. Overall this is a delicious oatmeal stout. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt and light earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mildly bitter/drying finish. Absolutely spot on English style example. Nicely rich and complex English malts; with mild complementing EKG hops and fruity English yeast. A very enjoyable offering.

12 ounce bottle into a snifter. Bottled 11/17/16, had 1/9/17.
Pours a dark brown, kind of a cola color, fairly opaque, with a quickly dissipating half inch foamy head and some soapy lacing. The smell is roasted malts, coffee, some chocolate and caramel, light vanilla and cocoa. The taste also leads with the roasted malts, then coffee, dark chocolate, more vanilla than the nose, some caramel. A fair amount of bitterness throughout, especially for the listed 46 IBU. Mostly smooth, somewhat creamy, well carbonated. The body feels a little light, but not thin.
A solid oatmeal stout, enjoyable to drink. Worth a try.
