Poured into a tulip on a rainy college football filled afternoon.

Pours a beautiful deep mahogany with 2-3 fingers of mountainous cream colored head.

The aroma is full of dark fruits, spices, some yeast and definitely some alcohol.

The taste follows the nose but I feel like the taste has a lot more complexity to offer. Juicy dark fruits, some dates, spices and some fresh doughy qualities. This beer is hot as well, but that's right up my alley. Almost like drinking a damn good glass of scotch. Burns so good for the first couple of sips and once you get used to the heat you really start to get all of the flavors it has to offer.

Full in body with a ton of carbonation. The combination or high carbonation with the heat of te alcohol makes for a hell of a tongue stinger. The finish on this beer leaves my tongue watering for more. I will soon be drunk at this pace haha.

Overall this beer is amazing. So close to perfection if it isn't perfect already. I pass this beer up all the time but when I do pick one up I always thoroughly enjoy it. Cheers!

5 words to describe it: Clove, Plum, Carob, Brown Bread, Boozy

Paired it with: Nothing. (Okay, like three dark chocolate covered peanuts.)

Should have paired it with: Super rich brie, smoked meat

Drink it if you like: Superlative beer. Shiraz, American Strong Ales, Bourbon

A few other thoughts: Instead of finishing with a lingering sweetness, this finishes with a little bit of the 10% ABV, and paired with a very prickly carbonation, it balances out into a pretty much perfect beer that works alone and would also pair brilliantly with food.
