First beer of FoBAB '12, two full pours in the festival taster glass, around 10 oz. total.
Quick review from notes.

Most distinctive looking beer of the day, deep saturated purplish red hues in the glass, it had a slight haze but was bright enough clarity to see through other side. Small collar of pinkish white foam that had some larger bubbles on the surface, and a creamy texture. Some sticky arcs of lace inside the glass.

Huge blueberry aroma, overwhelmingly fruity from the 10 lbs. of blueberries in there. Fresh fruit, slightly tart and lactic, not sweet in the aroma.

Flavor is equally big on lactic acid and fruit, though slightly less fruity than the nose. Still, it's very fruit forward, with a strong impression of freshly crushed blueberries, juicy with a crisp acidity and light body. It finishes somewhat dry and puckering. Leans more towards the fruited wild ale category, less noticeable Flanders Red characteristics, but color me impressed no matter what the name happens to be.
