7 ounce pour - $4.00 at Wrecking Bar in Atlanta, Georgia.
Appearance: Arrives an opaque, dark amber-hued body with a slender, near white head.
Smell: The initial impression is that it has a raw nose of pelletized hops, a tad harsh. Slight earthiness and not nearly as invitingly fruity as the taste delivers and seemingly vacant of malts - the aroma and flavor really go their separate ways, like imbibing two different beers.
Taste: Bready, toasty maltiness blanketed in a sweet glaze of sugary caramel sauce. The upfront, heavy sweetness is soon cut by sharp resins and a blitz of accompanying bitterness, allowing in bright citrus fruits tasting of candied lemons and tangerine. As the bitterness blends back into the sweetness, some peppery alcohol tones and an underlying grassiness comes forward. Full, bittersweet finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-full body. Medium carbonation. Chewy, near sticky mouthfeel.
Overall: Truth be told, I'm not really digging the aroma here, but, it's got a good taste, which is where it counts. A slow sipping, hearty brew.

Comes out of the tap a rich, opaque mahogany with a fine-bubble light tan head that hangs around for a bit. Rich, fruity aroma is somewhat sweet but not too sweet, and has woody and malty notes and just a hint of caramel. Flavor is SERIOUSLY hoppy - woody and a little evergreen, just a little bitter, with hints of fruit, malt and caramel. Texture is smooth yet tingly and lively, leaving a woody, fizzy finish. Recommended to all who love hoppy beers!
