Darker color than I was expecting. A sort of caramel hue; topped with creamy looking and ever so slightly beige head. On the nose I get a touch of grass and some earthy, English type aromas. Malt is also present. On the palate, this beer is definitely not overly hoppy and is actually rather malty. Caramel malts come through almost more than hops do, but overall it's balanced rather nicely. This is a fine example of an English IPA but I can't say that it stands up to my more modernized expectations of an AIPA. It's okay but nothing spectacular

Poured from 341ml bottle to extended tulip. 6.50% ABV and apparently 100 IBU.
A: Small head with no retention surprisingly, i think my pour was to blame. Dark Copper, burnt-orange, slightly reddish, very opaque.
N: Very malty, sweet caramel. hard to catch any authentic hop aromas, maybe a bit of citrus, some fresh bouquet of flowers odors coming through. This smells like an amber ale
T: Roasty Caramel Malts, Pumpkin Seeds!! Not as bitter as I expected, just a smooth bitter finish. Very simple beer, but pretty balanced.
M: Medium carbonation, kind of thin too.
O: It's a good beer but I was expecting something more I guess. Doesn't compare to the good quebec IPA's Worth a try if you like a bitter beer!
