I had this beer poured from a growler poured three days earlier into a tulip glass.
A: Dark Brown Hue, Passes No Light, Off White Head Ring, Decent Lacing
S: Maple, Dark Malts, Mild Funky
T: Sour Apple, Maple, Mild Dark Malts
M: Decent Carbonation, Medium Bodied, Semi Sour, Semi Drying
Overall, a solid sour black ale that isnt overly sour, not too sweet, a nice balance between the flavors.

T: Maple, Smoked flavor, hint of apple
M: Medium Body, Very Small sour hint
I thoroughly enjoyed this beer. I ended up having a few pints of it. I was able to speak to Matt, the owner, and he told me that they had bumped up the amount of bacon in the mix from 2 lbs to a whopping 7 lbs of bacon to really get that smokey smell/taste. This is definitely one of the more popular beers at the brewery.

Growler filled today. Black/brown pour, red edges. Thin off white layer.
Aroma, some green apple and cider vinegar. More roast peat, smoke. Light chocolate and herbal notes.
Taste, more chocolate and peat here than the tart notes. Very faint green apple. Toasted malt and a nice beach wood campfire. An accenting maple sweetness.
Lighter side of mid, a nice carbonation, but just a tad on the watery side. This does make for very easy drinking, though you need to be ready for the flavors.
One of my favorites from them so far.

This beer pours a dark mahogany with a thin halo of tan head. The nose is slightly sour/sweet with big notes of maple. The taste is similar to pure maple syrup/maple cotton candy with a slightly smoky/sour undertone. This is a delicious beer that's highly drinkable. It's an excellent blend of sweet, tart, sour, and smoked. I would recommend drinking this beer in a conservative quantity (not a whole pint) and consume slowly to let things warm up a bit.
