750ml bottle poured into tulip 12/10/12 thanks Mattsander and alpineclimber
A hazed orange amber with a finger of cream colored foam that sits for a few sips leaving a partial ring of lace
S loads of apple, pear with some apricot, candied pineapple, wet wood and funk, reminds me of a walk through the woods once the fallen leaves start to rot, smells better then it sounds I assure you
T the fruity notes are harder to pick out on their own and the funks mellowed a bit but the earthy woody notes work well for it
M light-medium with a few bubbles getting the flavor all over my mouth, a little bitter snap to it and the earthy notes linger on the finish
O great stuff and my glass was parked in front of my nose, it smells great and not lacking anywhere, nice funky notes for a young beer I can only imagine what a year or two would do to it
Nice farmhouse for sure with a great yeast profile, very drinkable stuff and no mention of booze anywhere Cheers Matt for bringing this one

750 ml bottle poured into a red wine glass
Appearance: Pours a hazy orange with a strong, well defined white head. Head retention is very strong.
Smell: The smell is dominated by the typical saison profile, with only light brett influence at this point. Some citrus character likely from the brett.
Taste: The taste is what you would expect from the smell, with the only difference being a strong yeasty character. This beer is light on the spiciness and has a more citrusy character. Very nice!
Mouthfeel: Very good mouthfeel. Nice carbonation and extremely smooth.
Overall: This is an awesome saison and I am excited to put some age on a few bottles to see how it develops! The ABV is completely hidden and the taste is great, I suggest anyone who is on the fence about saisons in general to pick up this great example.

look: 4.5 | smell: 4.75 | taste: 5 | feel: 4.75 | overall: 4.75
Appearance: Pours a hazy orange gold into a tulip. A fine two-finger white head sits on top and hangs around, leaving nice patterns of lacing as I work my way through the glass. Beautiful.
Smell: Complex – it leads with citrus and pepper, along with a little breadiness and honey. There is funk there, but it’s pretty subtle. As it warms up I get some stone fruit notes.
Taste: The citrus, primarily lime, from the Brett continues to lead, but is quickly followed by traditional Belgian pepper and spice notes. Other fruit notes lurk around, and of course there’s a barnyard element. The story for me, though, is the balance. There’s a lot going on here among the citrus and the other fruits, the Belgian pepper and spice and the funk, but it all works together really well. I love Brett and have since I had my first beer with it years ago, but this beer makes me realize that it can be just as enjoyable when it’s laying back in the mix a bit.
Mouthfeel: Very light and clean in the mouth. There’s absolutely no suggestion of the ABV, which is a little higher than many saisons.
Drinkability: See above; although this is definitely one to be savored slowly (not least due to the ABV), it’s very, very drinkable. I think I’m in love.

I have been waiting to pop open this bottle that i got as an EXTRA! from sukwonee, cheers man!
A - This could be the most beautiful beer I have ever seen! Beautiful golden haze that almost seems to emanate light. Big billowing head rises high and settles to a thick ring that is here for the long haul
S - Barnyard, great funk profile, bananas, green apple, cloves, big phenol, aspirin, great yeasty notes. There's more but I want to get this review done so I can keep drinking it
T - The balance of flavors that is going on is totally remarkable. Brett, pear, sour tang and slight aspiriny bitterness, yeasty and bready sweetness. Awesome!
M - Light bodied and smooth as hell
This beer has a 95, but not even that could prepare me for it. So fucking good. Cant wait to savor the rest of the bottle!
