Imbibed on tap Harry's Hofbrau on 5/31/12. Reviewed from notes.
Poured an opaque golden yellow, fading to orange in the deeper part of the tulip. Thin whit ehad sticks to the glass. A tinge of orange with a big IPA hop aroma. Grapefruit and other light citrus come through. Belgian yeast comes as it warms - banana and allspice. Orange malt flavor fades to tingly, piney hop oil. The hop flavor seems to be from all the "C"s, as it reminds me of the forest like some other hop forward brews made in the West Coast. Some spices follow, notably allspice. Belgian Pale malt is evident in the aftertaste. Balanced mouthfeel, dry finish.
I was a little confused with this one, mainly because I don't agree with the philosophy that West Coast hops can be used in all styles. They just don't agree with the pungent, complex flavors of a Belgian Pale malt.

a: Light straw, with a frothy head
4/5
s: Light clove, Fennals, a bit of sour fruit. Very spicy and belgan in smell, but is a bit weak for beer of this size.

t: Soft fruit, wheat, spicy, and a dry finish with some bitter hops in the after taste.

m: light and dry

O: a fairly light and tarty tripple. Where this brew shines is it alcohol masking. If someone told me that this was a 6% ABV belgan I would believe them.
Dangerously drinkable, being very crisp and refreshing. Nothing too memorable, but a great example of the style and a well made brew

Served on tap in a 10 oz chalice glass
Appearance – Served a golden orange colored brew with a one finger white head that has a decent retention, eventually fading to give a light level of lacing.
Smell – The aroma is heaviest of tropical and lighter fruits of tangerine, banana, pear, kiwi, and pineapple. With these fruity aromas are a good Belgian yeasty smell with an accompanied with a citrus and pine hop aroma.
Taste – The taste begins with a bready and sweeter tropical fruit taste. The tangerine and pineapple start the fruit taste profile, but are soon joined by a banana fruit flavor as well. With the entrance of the banana there is also an entrance of some yeasty and spicy (allspice and clove) tastes as well as a stronger citrus and pine hop flavor. These hop flavors grow even stronger toward the end of the taste and when there mix with a light alcohol flavor to leave a warming, hopped flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the lighter side for one of 9.5% abv with a carbonation level that is on the slightly higher side. Both the lighter body and the higher carbonation make more a more crisp mouthfeel overall.
Overall – Quite delicious ad very drinkable. One to give a go to if you have the chance.

On tap for the 4th Annual LA Beer Week Beer Festival at Union Station in Los Angeles, CA.
Pours a murky orange with a foamy orange-white head that settles to a huge cap on top of the beer. Foamy rings of lace line the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, grain, spices, and some fruity aromas. Taste is much the same with an alcohol kick on the finish. There is a mild spice bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that is drinkable but nothing exciting really.

A: half finger white head on a pale murky golden body with mild orange hues. 4
S: tropical fruit, pale malts and Belgian yeast. Nice strong aroma but simple. 4
T: fairly sweet tropical fruit with a mild earthy and pine hop zest which balances it out nicely. Herbal notes in the finish. 4
M: medium body and moderate carbonation. 4
Overall: the hops are mild and this one is a little strange. This one reminds me more of a hoppy saison. It's still a good beer.
