Poured from a 12 oz bottle. Graphics on the label are very poor and rustic.
Dark black color inside the glass. Just a half finger thick tan colored head that fades into a ring. Excellent lacing with good stickiness. Opaque.
Aroma is of burnt and roasted malts with oatmeal smell. No hops. Overall strength is mild. Some sweetness in the nose.
Taste is full of oatmeal creaminess. Malts are roasted and slightly charred. No bitterness and the finish is dry.
Mouth feel is medium to slightly creamy light bodied. Moderate carbonation. A bit watery. No astringency with good drinkability.

Came in the mail as part of a craft beer of the month selection (great x-mas present).
Poured into a pint glass.
Appearance was exactly what one would want from an oatmeal stout. A nice mustache-leaving head keeps throughout.
Smell- lots of toasted malts, a touch of chocolate
Taste- Malts are balanced nicely, sweetness does not dominate or limit this to a one-trick dessert pony. Hop in the finish feels just right.
Body- Nice and full, hearty. Just right.
Overall, did the trick and I will want to have some on hand on a regular basis if I can. Hope some east coast distributors carry it.
Had it with grilled turkey caesers salad.

Poured from a bomber into a snifter.
A-Dark opaque black/brown. Beautiful tan head that forms easily upon pouring and looks like it will stick around all day if you let it. Lacing is very strong and sticks to the glass in a foamy layer.
S-Roasted grains are quite prominent with hints of coffee.
T-Sweet coffee and roasted flavours. Bitter chocolate.
M-Round and very smooth. Medium body and carbonation. The bitterness from the roasted malts is very restrained.
O-An extremely pleasant stout to drink (and to look at!). Mediu Lacks any sort of harsh bitterness that sometimes overwhelms the palate. Not a complex ale, but an excellently executed one.

A - Very dark with ruby hints around the edges. Two fingers of thick creamy head.
S - Rich chocolate, toasty malts, coffee, slight hint of the oatmeal sweetness.
T - Here is where you notice the oatmeal. Chocolate, coffee, toasty malts and the oatmeal sweetness really shines through here.
M - Very nice and creamy with a slight stickiness. Medium to high carbonation.
O - I'll probably get this again. Its cheap and a very pleasant beer. Very drinkable. Could session this pretty easily.

Was pleasantly surprised by this brew. Upon the first couple of sips it's become one of my favorite stouts. Reminds me somewhat of a more chocolatey/coffee-ish Anderson Valley Oatmeal Stout..which is one of my favs to begin with.
A- Nice thick creamy tan head. Didn't pour jet black, slightly brown but mostly black.
S- Not that powerful of a smell. I pick up the roasted malt, small hint of chocolate . but that's about it
T- This is where this stout wins me over. Coffee hits you at first, then the chocolate and roasted malt hit the tongue. There's a VERY minor hop presence in the finish, which is just the right amount. This is a treat to drink.
M- The carbonation might be a little higher than some stouts, but it works well in this case. It never feels watery in your mouth. It's medium bodied.
O- as i said. a really pleasant surprise. I wasn't expecting much out of this. It was kind of a blind pick during my bi weekly craft beer spree at Total Wine. But this is the type of beer that makes those leaps of faith worth it.

Well, its not the best stout in the world. Making irish stout stew for st pats dsy and this wss the least expesive single at the store. Looks pretty nice in glass, nkce dark black with crothy tsn head. Sme, ls metallic and a litgle plasticy. Flavors are not off, just underwhelimng. I love stouts but this is a de ent stout at best.
