A - Pours a very light pale straw color with minimual white head/ What head that it did pour had desent retention but left little to no lacing.
S - Very mild aromas. There are hints of grass and lemon. Maybe a slight yeasty aroma
T - I was pleasantly surprised with the taste. I thought with the light aromas that it may taste like water. This was not the case. This beer has plenty of flavor. IT starts off slightly spicy. Definate hints of clove followed vy a lemon, sour, citrus taste with a very light yeasty finish
M - Very thin in the mouth. Almost feels slick
O - A great hot summer pool beer. I was definately surprised with the amount of flavor this beer had. A very easy drinking beer. Not bad.

12 oz. bottle, with the bottle reading 07/09/12-13, so I'm not exactly sure what it's trying to tell me. Another random find off the mix a sixpack shelf at the local beer store. My second beer from Lost Coast Brewery, the other being Lost Coast Indica IPA.
Poured into a Firestone Walker pint glass.
A - Aggressive pour yields about three fingers of bubbly fizzy white head on top of a murky lemon colored body. Some decent bubbles rushing around, and some sediment twirling around the glass. Fluffy rings of lacing. Looks pretty nice.
S - Smell is of lemongrass and some lemon rind. Hint of wheat. Some sugar. Smells almost like a shandy in a good way.
T - Crisp lemon tartness, and some herbal earthiness. Dry grainy lemongrass. Sweet malts. Almost tea like; very well balanced flavors for a witbier. Definitely a lot better than I was expecting.
M - Feel is tart, crisp, even creamy & smooth. Perfect carbonation, and very well balanced.
Overall, an impressive easy sipping beer from Lost Coast Brewery. A beer I would be happy to toss back on a hot summer day, with an easygoing 4.80% abv. One of the better witbiers I've had in recent times, also.
Lost Coast Great White Beer ---4/5.

Poured into a nonic pint glass from a 12oz bottle. Label on the side states this was bottled on 01/16/13." Or is that freshness date?? Not clear.
Poured vertically upside down into the glass, it unleashes a nicely atoned burst of carbonation with a frothy, 3 finger head above a cloudy, amber toned yellowish body. Not too much carbonation afterwards, however... Barely any bubbles to see overall, and the head eventually dies to a half-finger that luckily sticks around. Good lacing on the glass. Not too viscous, but swirling brings the head back up. Looks pretty solid when rating to style.
The aroma is chock-filled with lots of spices - more notably coriander and lemon peel - and wheat, grain-filled crispness. However, the wheat character and yeastiness is definitely taking a back seat here, and is pretty much coated in a lemon rind, soap-like zestiness. It's pleasant and inoffensive, but probably takes the whole "coriander/citrus" layout for witbiers perhaps a bit too far - or worse, a bit too literally.
The flavor takes the lemon rind astringency to the next level, to the point of nearly muting the other ingredients in the beer. Little wheat or grains soak through, and the beer quickly becomes characterized by upfront soapy characteristics with slight bitterness and an alcoholic burn. Super grainy at the finish. It's not the worst to drink, but the lemon flavor does become rather cloying over time. The beer is slightly under-carbonated and watery, although it does retain decent thick character aided by the malts. It's easy to drink, but not very balanced.
At the price that this is locally, this is a neatly budget-priced option for bare bones white ales. Some of my friends in particular love this stuff because of how easy it is to drink. This paired decently with pork topped with tomato, onions, and lemon squeezed on top. On it's own, well... It's something I'd take over AALs at parties, but I don't know if that's a good thing or not. For better or for worse, it's an above average witbier at the very least.

Served in a snifter at Ale Arsenal.
A: Pale, clear, head fades fast. Light yellow.
S: Neutral. Vague yeast is all.
T/M: It's pretty pleasant. Soft, refreshing, and lightly grainy. A bit wet, sweet, and not as crisp/dry as I might like.
O: Not a bad beer, but only average. Would not recommended.
