Notes:
Thunder Ann came about after a massive google search trying to come up with a name that we thought could represent our American Pale Ale. That’s how we found out about a little lady name Sally Ann Thunder Ann Whirlwind Crockett. She was Davy Crockett’s wife (well, in the folklore, according to Wikipedia, he married someone named Mary) and she was a bad ass. Seriously. Look her up. We mulled it over and thought that Thunder Ann could also be a pretty great name for a beer.

Very nice beer. Found under local brews category at The Beer Seller in Nashville.
Hazy color, beautiful amber color, mild head, sweet, hoppy but not flowery. Very nice beer
Slight rings down the glass as it empties. People addicted to the head (the part that you don't drink ) might complain, but dont let it bother you.
Hazyness reminds me of a homebrew, but a great homebrew. I highly recommend you try one if you have a chance to try.

I had this on-tap at the Broadway Brewhouse in downtown Nashville.
A: Poured a clear, gold color, with about and 1/8 finger head that stuck around. Yep.... looks like an American Pale Ale.
S: I didn't get much, but I actually got sort of a brown sugar-like component that was pretty fresh and inviting. Understated overall.
T: More Pixie Stick dust (sugar) than hops, but that was okay. It had a mildly alcoholic aftertaste without much bitterness.
M: The carbonation was fairly low, I got some pleasant candy-coated booze, and this was pretty sweet and sticky.
O: Pretty good.... I'd have it again if I'm ever back in the area.

Appearance is a clear and moderately dark amber-colored beer, topped with a small off-white head. Lacing is fair and head retention is low.
The aromas are dominated by grassy and earthy hops, with some malt breadiness in the background.
Taste follows the aroma in that the hops are more prominent, but there is a good balance here between the malt sweetness and hop bitterness.
The mouthfeel is smooth and has an average amount of carbonation with a medium body. The beer finishes with a moderate bitterness.
Overall an easy drinking, well-balanced and pleasing pale ale. Mellows nicely as it warms up to room temps as well.
