I was recommended to go to Birch Lodge by a fellow I had never met at another bar that was temporarily not serving food as they were remodeling the kitchen. We were looking for a good place for burgers and he told me this was the place to go.

The atmosphere is pretty typical for a pub style place. I happen to enjoy pubs so I felt right at home. There are several TVs to watch the games.

I had a burger and a couple beers while there and the burger was pretty incredible for a burger. Cooked perfectly with plenty of flavor. If you find yourself in Grand Rapids desiring a burger I definitely recommend that you come here.

The selection of beers was rather limited, but I was able to get a Bell's Two Hearted on draft so I was happy. It is not all domestics.
