1717th Review on BA
Draft to Pint
@Claim Jumpers Brea
App- When this came out, it was a bit darker than I was thinking. Along the lines of a pale or an IPA. Had a bit of a deeper yellow with a small 1/4" with a small little bit of cling.
Smell- When all is said and done this is still a blonde ale, A little bitter, a little soapy and a little earthy. Has that malty honey sweetness. I figured it was a FW beer so might smell a touch better.
Taste- Its was okay. Slightly earthy with a bit of a malty unbalanced grassy flavor. A bit of a honey like sweetness. Went well with the artichoke I paired it with.
Mouth- A fairly solid medium body with a good bit of sweetness that remained. A medium-low carbonation for the style. Residual honey and malts.
Drink- Meh. Another blonde ale. Better than average because from FW. Its no 805 though.

Family night out at Claim Jumper. Figured I would start with a house beer and move on from there.
A - Golden amber with a one finger off white head. Head retention is minimal at best, and there is next to no lacing to be had.
S - Sweet malt and honey. Smells sweet...
T - Pretty much follows the nose with sweet malt and honey. Don't detect much of a hop presence...
M - Very thin. On the higher end of medium bodied with a moderate amount of carbonation...
O - Glad I tried this one, but probably wouldn't order again unless I was in a pinch. Time to start interacting with the family.
Cheers...

A: A light golden color with a thin head from the pour. Not very much lacing as I sipped this one.
S: Smells sweet, some honey is detectable, but the main sweetness is caramel.
T: Very sweet candy like taste, some honey, a touch of bitterness. I couldn't detect any hops. Good taste for what it is.
M: Pretty smooth, well carbonated, refreshing.
D: Not a horrible beer, but not all that great either.

Sit tight, folks... it's my first review!
Had this on tap at Claim Jumper in Roseville, CA.
Appearance - very nice honey gold color, but absolutely no head whatsoever. Granted, there's no telling how it looked out of the tap, but by the time it got to my table, whatever head may have existed was kaput. It wasn't totally to the rim of the pint glass, either, so something should've been left.
Smell - I'm not the best judge of smell, honestly, but this wasn't bad. Nothing scary, anyway.
Taste - Mostly malty and sweet, with just a bit of hops at the end.
Mouthfeel - This is the downer. This puppy had virtually no carbonation whatsoever. In the mouth, it tasted flat and lifeless. Very disappointing.
Drinkability - For me, it was low. Even though the flavor was decent, the lack of carbonation corrupted the whole drink. I wouldn't order this again for just this reason.

Appearance Honey orange in color and clear. I got this on-tap and it was filled to the rim, so I cant comment on head retention.
Smell Theres a very faint aroma of malt with honey sweetness, but thats about all I can pick up.
Taste The big honey taste overpowers the malt. Theres a touch of hops at the finish, but mostly this one is all about the honey.
Mouthfeel Lightly carbonated and light-bodied. This one had somewhat of a refreshing finish, which was nice.
Drinkability This isnt really my style of preference. If it was, though, I still think it would be off the mark. One would assume a honey compliment to the Honey Blond Ale, but instead its more like a beer compliment to a jar of honey.
