look: 4.5 | smell: 4 | taste: 4 | feel: 4.5 | overall: 4

Appearance: A light tan head sits atop the fudge brown liquid and sheets the glass with lace

Smell: Dark fruit, chocolate and oak

Taste: Chocolate and oak, up front, with the dark fruit rounding out the middle; the hops add a bit of bitterness, after the swallow, but the finish is big on the chocolate

Mouthfeel: Full body with moderate carbonation

Overall: I like the way the oak was handled but it lacks the fruity depth of a great RIS; still, a damn good beer
