Reviewed from notes. I'm not sure where I got this - I doubt it was locally distributed, and if someone sent it to me I apologize; I didn't write it down. Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a Russian River goblet.
A: Very dark brown with a one-finger brown head that doesn’t last. Nearly opaque with low visible carbonation.
S: Cured bacon-ish, with sweet roasted malts, chocolate, and a bit of maple sweetness.
T: Follows the nose, plus a bit smokiness and some chili bite I hadn’t picked up on before. Roasted malts with moderate chocolate flavor, and a touch of sweet maple that’s subtle enough I'm not sure I'd have picked it up were it not on the label. It finishes with mild chili heat and bacon savoriness.
M: Body a bit on the light side. Average carbonation sensation, and low alcohol presence for style, though I’m not sure what the ABV is.
O: Pretty good, though it doesn't live up to some other similarly adjuncted stouts. Glad to have tried it, but certainly nothing I'm gonna go buy more of.

Bottled on 9/25/14.Pours into a snifter jet black with a thin deep beige head atop.Aromas of bitter chocolate and chili, and a bit of char. There is alot going on here on the palate, deep roast, char, smoke, bitter chocolate, one thing I don't get a whole lot of is the maple(although some creeps in in the finish),it's actually much more dry and roasted wich I was happily surprised by.It doesn't hit ya in the face but if you let it sit a whole lot comes out.

Pours a dark black with a caramel head with a slight lacing. Smell of chocolate, smoke and maple. taste is fully chocolate and like brown sugar. Didn;t get the bacon or chilis at all. For a russian imperial porter, it was disappointing.
