Served on tap in a pint glass

Appearance – The beer is served a hazy yellow-orange color with a one finger head of white foam floating atop. The head fades quite fast leaving a decent level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.

Smell – The aroma of the beer heaviest of a wheaty smell along with a tangerine and orange aroma. Some lighter hop smells of a grapefruit and pine nature are there as well along with a light lemon smell rounding out the aroma nicely.

Taste – The taste begins with a wheaty bread flavor mixed with a bit of a caramel and light orange sweetness. The orange seems to fade rather fast from the taste being replaced by some hop flavors of a grapefruit nature. Other flavors of grass and a very light pine develop on the tongue more toward the end of the taste and with a little bit of lemon coming to the tongue as well, leaving one with a rather refreshing and decently hopped citrus wheat flavor to linger on the tongue.

Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the average side in terms of thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is on the average side as well. Both are nice for creating a crisp feel and complement well the citrus and wheat flavors of the beer.

Overall – A rather enjoyable wheat brew with a good showing of citrus and hop. A rather nice summer drinker.

A: Pours a hazy medium straw yellow in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising from the bottom of the glass and moderate lemon yellow highlights. The beer has a two finger tall sudsy foamy white head that reduces to a mottled thin film covering the entire surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Slightly more than moderate amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Light to moderate aromas of biscuit and wheat malts with a light aroma of toasted malts. Light aromas of pine/resin and citrus/grapefruit hops.

T: Upfront there is a moderate flavor of biscuit and wheat malts with just a touch of toasted malts. Light to moderate flavors of pine/resin and citrus/grapefruit hops which impart a light amount of lingering bitterness in the finish.

M: Light to medium bodied with slightly heavier than moderate amounts of carbonation. Slightly sticky in the finish.

O: Easy to drink and refreshing, this would be a really nice beer for enjoying while out at the grill preparing dinner (I should have drank this one yesterday when the weather was in the mid-70s).

Not a bad AMer Pale Wheat Ale. Not always a favorite style with some offerings a bit on the wimpy side as far as flavor goes. Poured this one from a pint can into a weizen glass. Small bubbly white head, a nice clear golden body and a lot of bubbles in the body. Head retention is fair and there was minimal lacing. Aroma and flavor are pretty mild , some citrus, a little hops bitterness and some bitterness and flavor from the wheat. The taste features a little wheat bitterness to go along with the light lemony flavor. Mouthfeel is light, crisp, and nicely carbonated. There is a good balance between the citrus and the wheat. A refreshing summertime beer, I would drink this one again.

not sure what going on here on the first sip, a very light hazy yellow, bottom of glass was clear as water with no carbonation? the smell was full of some type chemical and taste followed but with a heavy lemon, lime rind flavor throughout but a sense of hops build as I continued to drink, feel has a fine carbonation but again chemically sense that i cannot shake, will not purchase this any longer, not fresh - crisp - or clean tasting.
