Notes:
Our Threadless/Finch collaboration IPA is a balanced experience of both perceived hoppiness and true bitterness. It pours a darker amber color and finishes with a citrus flavor, and when combined, will require this to be the last IPA you ever drink! Well, maybe, we realize you will probably drink more, but the result of this recipe clearly evolves into a very balanced IPA. The grain bill on this big pale includes melanoidin and Victory malts. We hop it up before the boil starts with some Columbus first wort hopping, then add a bunch more for bittering.

Pours a nice amber color with blonde highlights and a thin head into my glass. Wished it were clearer but it is what it is.

Sweet with a touch of pine hops in the nose. Very mellow. For those who may be can-phobic, there is no metallic-anything whatsoever.

Ditto on flavor. It has a citrus edge as well. Crisp. Buttery. Very easygoing.

Finishes with a good dab of citrus bitterness. Whoa. That's all that seems to linger.

It has the bitterness down phat in some places. If they really want to impress, they could use this as the basis for a DIPA. The recipe is just begging for it.

Pours an effervescent amber with 3+ fingers of rocky pearl colored head. Sheets of lacing, great head retention, a bit cloudy at the bottom of the can

S: Pine & leafy hops, citrussy, breadyness

T: Lovely orangey hops, biscuitty malt, pine & mineral hops up front. Orange peel, slight toffee flavor with pineyness & faint pink grapefruit & dryness & whispers of leafy hops. Finishes slightly astringent, dry with woody hops & some grapefruit

MF: Medium bodied, soft carbonation, good balance

A serviceable AIPA. Easily the best beer I've had from these guys, drinks easy enough

Good one!!! Pours a bright, hazy orange color with a medium sized nicely carbonated head into a pint glass. Good head retention and some lacing. Strong aroma of piney hops...nice.
Taste is piney and citrus hops . The citrus hops are very pronounced in the flavor but not the aroma. Nice and bitter, not overdone but still enough to satisfy most IPA lovers.

Mouthfeel is crisp with some piney oiliness, good bitterness. This beer is a little less rich overall than some AIPAs, a little thin. THe longer you drink, the more the bitternes and oiliness make this a moot point.

Definitely worth a try. THe fact that it is in cans, makes it highly portable for summertime enjoyment in the outdoors.

pint can

Pours a hazy honey amber, white film for a head retains indefinitely.

Smells of honey, grapefruit and pine resin hops. Some light caramel and fruit sweetness.

Flavor is potently hoppy and tart fruit seet, like pine, grapefruit and lemons. Undertone of grassy malts.

Medium body with a soft carbonation over the tongue.

Interesting fruity IPA, decent flavor, a bit odd, but good potent hop kick as well. I've had better IPAs, but there's nothing really wrong with this one, so its definitely worth a try.
