Notes:
Finch's Blonde Ale is an easy drinking and approachable American craft beer. It has a moderately sweet malty aroma and is deep gold in color. We like to think of this particular one as more of a 'Dirty Blonde.' When you first pour it, a soft lacey foam clings to the glass as malty aromas fill your nose and linger to the final sip. Upon finish, this blonde turns heads with a smooth finish and a touch of bitterness in the aftertaste. Enjoy this medium-bodied craft beer anytime of year.

LOOK: Pours a hazed golden color, with a bone white tightly beaded head that leaves good lacing behind.
SMELL: Bready malts and crackery yeast. Some lemon and floral hop notes. Pinch of wheat.
TASTE: Mild tea like hops, creamed malt, wheat. Perfumeish hops translate to a flavor of edible flowers. Biscuit, bread, mild tangy green apple fruitiness in the finish. So lemony and tea like its vaguely reminiscent of a bitter shandy. Pretty mellow and easy drinking.
FEEL: Thin feel, carbonation is low but has a small zing to it. Quite watery and loose in the finish, which is disappointing.
OVERALL: There are some things to like about this beer, it looks good and tastes good, but it really lacks depth and body.

A: Nice short white colored head poured from a can in to a pint glass. Excellent lacing. A bit cloudy with a nice golden color.
S: Nice aroma with some hops and sweetness
T: The hops are not too strong and are even throughout.
M: A good amount of carbonation but maybe not quite enough
O: This beer is pretty good with an even hops profile throughout the swallow. I look forward to trying other varieties from Finch's.

Snagged a single pounder from the house of 1,000 beers for $1.75
A - Boy this is one dirty blonde! Hazy and bright yellow with a 1/4 inch of head that settles to a lace ring of almost nothing.
S - Some piney hops, touch of mild grains, some wheat, and a bit of lemon peel.
T - Pretty tasty summer brew. They didn't scrimp on the hops which is nice. Grains are mild and balanced with some wheat base and a touch of lemon peel in the finish.
M - Light and crisp yet more body than I expected. Decent.
Overall even a simple blonde these guys craft well. I have not found a single Finch beer I have been disappointed with. Worth a try.

160z can into a pint glass.
Pours a slightly hazy medium gold with a half finger white head. Head quickly fades to just a thin lace leaving decent lacing on the sides of the glass as the beer is drunk.
Aroma is quite yeasty with Some toasted malt and lemony notes. A little bit of grass as well.
The flavor expands on the characteristics found in the aroma with more toasted malt along with grass and hay. There are some lemon and peach notes along with a little bit of butterscotch. Bitterness is moderate with a fairly dry mouthfeel throughout. Nice crisp finish.
Overall, there is not a lot to this beer but that is typical for the style. This is a great summer brew and a perfect thirst quencher on a hot day. More flavor than bmc and overall, a pleasure to drink.

Haven't reviewed in over a year! 16oz Can served in shaker pint. Great looking silver can with a bird pic front and center. So far all of the cans I've seen from Finch's are very attractive, and I'm a sucker for a good looking can of craft.
A: Pours bright golden yellow with a little bit of haze. Nothing terribly appealing to look at, but appearance is as expected. Just a small amount of bight white head from a forceful pour, but it is nearly gone within a minute or so.
S: Nothing jumps out of the glass here. Bready aroma with a hint of grassiness. Faint sniff of hops.
T: Very similar to the scent. Not bad, but not very entertaining either. Kind of grainy. Reminds me of corn husk a bit. Vaguely metallic? Dries up with some bitterness in the finish.
M: Thin with proper carbonation.
O: Nothing special here, but I really can't knock it considering it's what I would expect out of a blonde ale. Style-wise this is pretty good. This would be a decent beer to go to for cookouts, tailgating, etc. and the fact that its in a nice 16oz can really helps it to be a good active/outdoor beer.
