Notes:
The Corruption™ IPA is DC Brau's take on a Pacific Northwest IPA. Brewed with Pale 2 row, C-10, Honey and Victory malts. Exclusively hopped with 40 lbs of Columbus hops per brew to ring in at 80 IBU. "The Corruption" comes in at 6.5% ABV. This beer straddle's the line between IPA and Imperial IPA and has a supportive malty backbone with an assertive hop presence that smacks your mouth with a dank, resinous bitterness followed by pleasant aroma's of pine sap and burnt spruce.

Can: Poured a hazy amber color ale with large foamy head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma consists of citrus notes with strong bitter notes. Taste is also dominated by strong citrus notes with nice floral undertones and solid bitter finish. Body is full with great carbonation. Great mix of floral citrus and grapefruit notes.

12 oz can was poured into a pint glass.
Appearance: This beer poured a one finger head that reduced to a thin layer. It is a hazy pale orange with some clarity and bubbles are seen coming up through the glass. Nice lacing on the glass as the beer was drank.
Smell: Citrus, piney, grassy, herbal, caramel, and bready malts.
Taste: very tasty. Major hop bomb, but very bearable. Same as above with a little bit of caramel and bready malts in the rear.
Mouthfeel: Tingly bitterness, smooth, low to medium carbonation, and medium bodied.
Overall: I like it. Happy to have scored a couple cans down in Virginia. Good to see another east coast brewery with a solid IPA.

A: This poured a murky gold with a little white head.
S: It smelled like bitter grapefruit and resin, with some unripe apricot and herbal hops and honey malt.
T: It tasted like bitter resin and herbal hops, with some grapefruit and a bit of honey malt. It had a clean and lasting very bitter aftertaste.
M: It was watery with moderate carbonation. Decent body.
D: This was a nice IPA, with great scent and good taste, but only ok body. The finish was pretty harsh, so it wasn't super easy to drink. Not bad, but not great.

12 oz can into a pint glass.
A: Pours a hazy copper color. The head is pretty tall, thanks to an aggressive pour - about two fingers high and off-white in shading. It fades at a moderate rate, and leaves behind small rings of lacing on the glass.
S: The aroma is absurdly biscuity. I also pick up some floral, piny hops behind it, but wow, this has one of the strongest bread-like components I've ever encountered in an IPA. No citrusy notes here, sadly; considering Columbus hops don't give off much of a citrus aroma, that's not really surprising.
T: Biscuit notes trail down into the flavor profile, and cluster near the opening. Hops last throughout the flavor profile, and are very floral in nature, perhaps even nectar-esque. Finishing bitterness is mild, balanced well by the malt backbone. I have to say, it grows on me the more I drink it.
M: The body is just a shade under medium. A clean, dry finish helps to scrub off any excess resin, but it will still linger slightly as more is consumed. Carbonation is about right, maybe 5% too low.
O: Very well made, but not my style of IPA. I prefer the lighter-colored, citrusy versions over the coppery, crystal-malt-and-pine ones. It's still a good IPA, especially if you're into the latter.

Purchased can for <$2 at total wine in Richmond, VA. Poured into tulip. Nice golden slightly amber color with 2 fingers of head...chewy sticky lacing remains.
Nice hop burst aroma with a bit of spiceyness.
Taste is a resinous, spicy, malty...almost rye-like. Its good but not outstanding. Its a bit over malted and resinous for me. Slightly un-balanced as its a bit too bitter for me, but its not overwhelming. Its a good IPA...if you like malty resin IPAs...good, not great for me.

A: A very dirty apricot color, nice off white head. The body of the beer is quite hazy.
S: Pine and grapefruit. A touch of resin perhaps a hint of onion, but barely perceptible. Some nice caramel sweetness. Smells real nice.
T: Hops come right out, grapefruit, pine and some citrus. The onion flavor does persist into the flavor, but it is not overwhelming. The bitterness is solid, with a touch of an earthy bite in the finish. There is enough sweetness to help balance out the hops, but not so much of a balance that it becomes boring.
M: Medium in body, carbonation is medium, with a slight bite in the finish, perhaps from carbonation, perhaps from hops. There is a slight oily feel in the finish.
O: Overall very enjoyable, I like this beer a lot. The onion type flavor I pick up is subtle enough that it doesn't bother, and makes this beer unique.

Great looking pour- perfect lacing and vibrant copper orange color. Nose filled with crisp and earthy bitterness which reflects the taste identically - crisp, earthy bitterness witha slightly citrusy finish that clings to the tongue in a blanket of dryness.
