12 oz bottle poured into a snifter at cellar temperature. The beer pours a clear gold hue with some slightly blush wine or maybe copper tints. Almost no head foams up with bleached fizzy bubbles fading rapidly to nothing after the pour.
Aroma is sweet malt, white grapes and pears, some general sugary sweetness and just a bit of boozy alcohol. label says brewed with spices, but I dont get anything indicating any particular spice here.
First sip reveals an average to lighter body with fine rolling carbonation and a little bit of sticky texture after each sip.
Flavor is sweet fruity malt through and through, white grapes and pears are dominant with maybe a little peach mixed in, but general sweetness is the main flavor. I get a little bit of spicy hops or maybe it is peppery alcohol, but either way that is mild.
The beer is easy to drink and fairly enjoyable, not what I anticipated but not a bad way to end an evening.
Glad I tried it but wouldnt chase down again.

[Suggested Glassware: Trappist Glass]
The pour was a hazy medium orange with a small (less than 1 finger) white fizzy head that diminished quickly, down to a few scattered puddles with a small collar and had fair streaky lacing.
The aroma was very mild of a light sweet grain malt and a doughy musty yeast with notes of citrus (orange), green apple, peach, banana, and a hint of clove.
The taste was moderately sweet and slightly grainy with a bold fruitiness from the start, progressing with lightly tart yeast presence, a touch of banana and a mildly spicy ending. The flavor lasted an average time after the swallow, with the slightly tart spicy yeast taste left to linger on the taste buds for a short while longer.
Mouthfeel was a step above light in body with a thin dry texture and a medium carbonation.
Overall this was a brew that was lightly sweet with a nice yeast presence along with a bit of spicy fruitiness, which did a fantastic job of hiding the high ABV and allowing for a good smooth drinkability...

Well damn its a spring release meaning I had a bottle over 9 months old.
A - Little sediment, nice 1/2 inch of sticky white head, color is a bright orange yellow with a slight haze.
S - Smells more like a Belgium pale with fruity yeasts, little to no coriander spice, and some mild citrus hop zest.
T - Really no aspect of Belgium yeast it taste more like a Belgium IPA with citrus hops, mild yeast, and a fruity finish.
M - Medium hides the ABV well.
Overall I guess I expected more Tripel flavor but got a pretty poorly made Belgium pale ale. Not even great as an American take on a Belgium style. Cool cover art though but skip this one.

Half finger head on a cloudy orange body. Corriander, candy sugar, yeast and both orange and pear citrus for aroma. Flavor is fairly musty but more citrusy than I like for the style with mostly orange with candied sugar for sweetness. Herbal hops. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Not quite what I expect for the style. Not enough Belgian character. Not bad tasting, just not one I would choose again when I want a tripel.

Poured from 12oz bottle into a tulip.
Appearance: hazy orange hue with a strong effervescence but minimal head. Not bad, but the lack of head is disappointing.
Smell: sweet malt with hints of vegetal hops around the edges and a light dose of pear and green apple. There seems to be some unrealized potential in this aroma.
Taste: malty, but not super sweet; quite a bit of alcoholic bite. Fruit flavors are again here as in the aroma, but also as in the aroma they don't seem fully realized. Finish is a bit on the bitter side.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a low level of carbonation. Some creaminess can be coaxed out of this beer, but it's not great.
Overall: meh. Pretty middle-of-the-pack; it's not a bad beer but there's little here to celebrate.

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle stamped "Packed on 144 303c." Sampled on November 17, 2012.
The pour is a cloudy medium amber to the point of being orange with a short-lived fizzy white head.
On the nose: yeast, Belgian pale malts, black licorice and a host of other exotic spices.
The body is medium, creamy, and full of bubbly zest like a good Tripel should be.
An array of flavors tease the tongue including Belgian malts, zesty orange, coriander, clove, pepper, and black licorice with a low to moderate hop finale that lingers just enough to satisfy.
Nicely done.

330ml bottle poured into tulip 13/11/12 from notes
A very hazy golden peach but a bit of a dead pour, dumped it right down middle and got just a short lived film for a head and no lace
S lots of coriander and peppery yeast with some bubblegum and banana with some dry cereal, smells like a Wit on steroids, it’s rather pleasant
T spice I can’t quite place with some fruity notes and a little booze, not as nice as the smell its missing the benefits of the yeast profile, some sweet orange as it warms
M thick enough but could use a few more bubbles and the booze could be hidden a little better, slightly slick with a boozy, spicy finish
O decent brew but there’s room for improvement, needs some life on the pour and feels a little dead, other aspects are taken care of but the smell is where this one peaks
It’s OK but I’m not going to jump for joy if I see it down the road, if the price is right try it but I wouldn’t go searching for it

Picked this up via the single bottle in Totowa. While it wasn't as good as the Tripel's that I've had from Belgium, this matched up well with those and held its own. It was bold, spicy, cloudy, and strong, and warmed me up on a cold night. Those looking for an American take on this beer won't be disappointed here but won't be bowled over either.
The pour was typical, with a dark and cloudy goldenrod hue, some sediment, and a moderately fluffy head that took a little to fizzle down. Not much of an aroma here but the taste was varied enough. Lots of pear and clove with a bit of banana, that faded into sweetness and alcohol in the back. The spiciness was more on the earthy side and the alcohol was quite present throughout the session. Not a quick sipper but this wasn't that hard to get down either.
A bit of dark fruit would have hid the alcohol better but besides that, this beer was sufficient enough. Somewhat light in taste for a Trippel, this never felt watered-down and the light hue and sediment only served a reminder that this was just a hair behind the others that I've had. Worth a try for someone inexperience in this style of beer.

Poured from a 355ml bottle. Pours a nice rich golden yellow colour with very little in the way of head. There are aromas of ripe exotic fruits--some of the typical Belgian yeast esters. The classic fruit flavours are there, too, with plenty of spice, as well. A very well-made tripel.

A - The beer pours with a small head of loose white foam on top of a slightly hazy, dark golden body. The head settles quickly and leaves little lace.
S - Sweet malt with notes of pear, clove, and vanilla.
T - Sweet malt up front with some pear and pineapple. Spicy notes of clove and herbal hops in the middle with a finish of vanilla, moderate hop bitterness, and more clove.
M - Medium-thick body, moderately high carbonation, and a sweet finish.
D - The yeast character is robust, but one dimensional with a dominant clove flavor. The finish is overly sweet and the beer lacks the drinkability that a good example of the style should have. Not something I would drink again.

Ruckus Euphoria
12 oz. bottle; Packed on date illegible
Appearance: As usual, cloudy golden. Head retention and lacing average.
Aroma: Fruity, juicy and subtly tart. Cherry, apple, subtle pineapple. A hint of banana in the background. Yeasty with a minor bit of chalkiness. Some low level spice that lends a suggestion of coriander.
Flavor: follows aroma. Superbly balanced. Beautiful combination of yeasty fruitiness and chalkiness over gently sweet and lighty grassy/straw-like maltiness (orange, lemon, banana, herbal), very firm but balanced bitterness. Dry finish with residual fruit, malt, spice and yeast.
Overall: A killer beer that's remarkably drinkable but still very complex. Not overdone, especialy in the spicing. Balanced and very drinkable. What's not to love?

This is a murkey, hazy orange-colored brew. Faint, nearly non-existent head. It's not as carbonated as I expected either. The smell is peppery...a touch of alcohol, some spicy hops and a little malt. Bubble gum and a bit of clove...yeast. It's a jumbled aroma. The taste is semi-dry with a firm bitterness. Spice and pepper. Soft and full mouthfeel. All in all, an average tripel...nothing particularly outstanding.

A: hazy peach-colored beer, off-white head
S: butterscotch and peach; perfumey, floral
T: honey sweet upfront, mildly sweet lemony citrus, then bitter dry lemon rind and coriander finish
M: medium body, frisky carbonation and spiciness, palate cleansing and refreshing, mild bitter chalky mid-finish
O: I thought this a really good tripel, nice balance between maltiness and hops for a zesty citrusy drink with a mediumweight malt bottom

12oz bottle, a single from a nice mix-pack from a certain against the grain liquor store in east Edmonton.
This beer pours a slightly glassy medium golden hue, with one very skinny finger of thin, wispy off-white head, which bleeds way in a blink of a lazy eye, leaving but a few specks of islet lace around the glass for the measly effort.
It smells of fruity, bready pale malt, some muddled winter baking spices, candy sugar, and subtle metallic boozy notes. The taste is sweet grainy malt, some bready yeast, more saccharine, chewing gum adjunct notes, sozzled pear and overripe apple, and earthy, sort of grassy hops.
The bubbles are moderate, and flick a bit at the high palate, the body a so-so medium weight, with a tacky smoothness, afflicted like expired orange juice. It finishes sweet, to be sure, as the heavy (?) pale malt and alcohol sugars rise above the fray, leaving the fruit and hops clamouring underneath.
A better than expected tripel, from the wilds of Pennsylvania - just kidding, sort of. Anyways, lots of checkmarks for the style, with just the big one missing - overall subtly and cohesiveness - but work on it, and we'll check on it next time you bring it in, s'ok?

A: Pours a clear yellow-gold with a finger of white head that fades into a thin layer with little lacing.
S: Light spice notes up front with tons of candy sugar and bubblegum aromas with faint notes of bananas and pears.
T: Spices up front here as well with some bubblegum and candy sugar presence. There are light fruit notes before a sweet, bready finish.
M: Medium-light body with medium carbonation, this is fairly dry and drinkable, but could use a lighter body and more carbonation.
O: A surprisingly good beer overall. I hadn't heard of this brewery before, and often breweries have trouble with Belgian styles, but they did a good job.

Picked up this 22oz bomber recently at The Liquor Shoppe for $5.95. No freshness info, but nbd...
Euphoria has a slight bit of haze to it, and the color is a stark, medium-to-light golden. Carbo is scattered and slowly rises up, with the head be extremely thin, mostly some fine white bubbly action around the edge. There's hardly any lacing left behind as well. Aroma is restrained, with some candy sugar and fruity notes emanating from the brew. I like the mouthfeel; body is mid-range, and the feel is fairly smooth, with a light blanketing of bubbles on the tongue, which tickle but don't prickle.
Flavor has some pale malts with a light sweetness. More candy sugar is mildy present here, with some pear, mango and green apple coming forth. Hints of spiciness and yeast are there, but not overly up-front, unfortunately. Has a bit of a herbal hop lean to it, and the finish is a touch dry and chalky. Not overly complex by any means. Even as it warms, there's not a lot of "there" there, ya know? This one's a one and done for me. Prosit!!

A - Orange in color with light golden notes as well. Fizzy white head, only about a 1/4 inch thick. Quickly fades to a thin ring. Very active carbonation bubbles quickly rising to the top.
S - Pale malts, hints of banana, candi sugar and a little earthingess. A touch of citrus fruit, primarily orange. As the beer warms a few more spices come through, especially coriander.
T - Pale malt sweetness with hints of bubble gum. A yeasty banan flavor comes through mid drink. Very sweet with flavors of candi sgar. Lightly spiced with a typical Belgian wit spicing. Light citrus fruit tastes in the finish.
M/D - Medium boided and very crisp. High carbonation like I would expect from any tripel. Very easy drinking with a well masked alcohol.

A 22 ounce bomber bottle poured into my chalice. The ale appears a clear golden amber color with about two fingers of fluffy off white foam. Nose and flavor are of mild citrus, toasted grain, candi sugar, peach, apricot, alcohol. A notch better than medium bodied with adequate carbonation for a tripel. Certainly worth trying if you spot a bottle.

The beer pours a golden color with a thick fizzy white head that slowly fades to lacing. The aroma is decent. It has a dry, earthy, pale malt scent along with some coriander and Belgian yeast esters. The taste is average. It has a solid pale malt flavor with light spicing and a dry Belgian yeast finish. It's very average with just a hint of esters in the finish. It's also incredibly dry. The mouthfeel is average. It is a full bodied beer with way too much carbonation. This is not a great Belgian style beer. It lacks complexity in the malt bill and the spices and esters are lacking.

To start, thanks go to Scott for plopping this one in my fridge to try.
22oz bomber to two pours into Delirium Tremens glass.
Bottle Graphics: 2/10.
A: The bottle reads tripel but listed on here as belgian strong ale. It looks more like a tripel and a plain one. Light copper color with a tiny white head that drifted off.
S: Earthy smell mixed with some kind of detergent and fragrance. There is some fruitiness when hunted for but a real plain metallic aroma did not set things off so well.
T: Pretty straightforward. Not much Belgian about it, more grassy than most and a burnt malt flavor that doesn't fit. Considerably better when it was cold and masked the flaws. Candi sugar is revealed but I can't locate the banana, pear or any real fresh fruit I was hoping for. Sweetness, buttered popcorn sweetness, not so nice.
An improvement from the smell but nothing phenomenal but a step in the right direction.
M: Best aspect of the beer. Complete body with a snappy, dry finish.
D: Drinkability is alright- more a tripel as the bottle says. There is no burn or unpleasantness per se, but also nothing that has me eager to grab another 22oz.

pours crystal clear deep gold with a small dense white head. the head drops fast and leaves no lace.
aroma is nice. bit of alcohol. very floral with a bit of soapy/perfumey character. light spice. cracker and white bread.
taste is good. light alcohol. tons of perfumey floral hops, less soapy than in the aroma. cracker and white bread. bit of spice.
mouthfeel is good. medium body with a nice dry finish. medium-high carbonation level.
drinkability is good. nicely balanced. a pretty tasty tripel, and one of the better american attempts at the style.

22 oz bottle, label lists it as a tripel. Thanks to grub for sharing.
Pours a lightly hazy golden, some amber highlighting, a bit peachy, thin white head forms, drops a few spots of lace on the glass, settles to a thin ring around the glass, nice colour but the head is lacking for the style. Smell is neat, quite sweet, candi sugar and honey, peaches, grapefruit, yeast, some spice, very floral and fragrant, some yeastiness, fresh fruit salad aroma, I like it. Taste is similar, very fruity, peaches and grapefruit again, lemon acidity and orange peel, some sugar and honey, spices and sour fruit near the finish, wheat, dry yeastiness going down, nice and tart. Mouthfeel is light to medium body with medium carbonation, tartness makes it pretty refreshing. Nice take on a tripel, could use a bit more of a malt backbone and a better head, but its still pretty nice. Thanks Russ!
