22 oz bomber poured into a wide bowled snifter
A-shiny, clear yellow with a little foam
S- Peppery, yeasty, and a funk, almost like a wet band-aid, weird
T-Bitter orange, spicy coriander, sweet malt and a little alcohol burn.
M- great carbonation and a substantial thickness
D- high abv, but the alcohol is well hidden and the flavors good but not overwhelming

12 oz bottle poured into a snifter at cellar temperature. The beer pours a clear gold hue with some slightly blush wine or maybe copper tints. Almost no head foams up with bleached fizzy bubbles fading rapidly to nothing after the pour.
Aroma is sweet malt, white grapes and pears, some general sugary sweetness and just a bit of boozy alcohol. label says brewed with spices, but I dont get anything indicating any particular spice here.
First sip reveals an average to lighter body with fine rolling carbonation and a little bit of sticky texture after each sip.
Flavor is sweet fruity malt through and through, white grapes and pears are dominant with maybe a little peach mixed in, but general sweetness is the main flavor. I get a little bit of spicy hops or maybe it is peppery alcohol, but either way that is mild.
The beer is easy to drink and fairly enjoyable, not what I anticipated but not a bad way to end an evening.
Glad I tried it but wouldnt chase down again.

[Suggested Glassware: Trappist Glass]
The pour was a hazy medium orange with a small (less than 1 finger) white fizzy head that diminished quickly, down to a few scattered puddles with a small collar and had fair streaky lacing.
The aroma was very mild of a light sweet grain malt and a doughy musty yeast with notes of citrus (orange), green apple, peach, banana, and a hint of clove.
The taste was moderately sweet and slightly grainy with a bold fruitiness from the start, progressing with lightly tart yeast presence, a touch of banana and a mildly spicy ending. The flavor lasted an average time after the swallow, with the slightly tart spicy yeast taste left to linger on the taste buds for a short while longer.
Mouthfeel was a step above light in body with a thin dry texture and a medium carbonation.
Overall this was a brew that was lightly sweet with a nice yeast presence along with a bit of spicy fruitiness, which did a fantastic job of hiding the high ABV and allowing for a good smooth drinkability...

Well damn its a spring release meaning I had a bottle over 9 months old.
A - Little sediment, nice 1/2 inch of sticky white head, color is a bright orange yellow with a slight haze.
S - Smells more like a Belgium pale with fruity yeasts, little to no coriander spice, and some mild citrus hop zest.
T - Really no aspect of Belgium yeast it taste more like a Belgium IPA with citrus hops, mild yeast, and a fruity finish.
M - Medium hides the ABV well.
Overall I guess I expected more Tripel flavor but got a pretty poorly made Belgium pale ale. Not even great as an American take on a Belgium style. Cool cover art though but skip this one.

Half finger head on a cloudy orange body. Corriander, candy sugar, yeast and both orange and pear citrus for aroma. Flavor is fairly musty but more citrusy than I like for the style with mostly orange with candied sugar for sweetness. Herbal hops. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Not quite what I expect for the style. Not enough Belgian character. Not bad tasting, just not one I would choose again when I want a tripel.

Poured from 12oz bottle into a tulip.
Appearance: hazy orange hue with a strong effervescence but minimal head. Not bad, but the lack of head is disappointing.
Smell: sweet malt with hints of vegetal hops around the edges and a light dose of pear and green apple. There seems to be some unrealized potential in this aroma.
Taste: malty, but not super sweet; quite a bit of alcoholic bite. Fruit flavors are again here as in the aroma, but also as in the aroma they don't seem fully realized. Finish is a bit on the bitter side.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a low level of carbonation. Some creaminess can be coaxed out of this beer, but it's not great.
Overall: meh. Pretty middle-of-the-pack; it's not a bad beer but there's little here to celebrate.

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle stamped "Packed on 144 303c." Sampled on November 17, 2012.
The pour is a cloudy medium amber to the point of being orange with a short-lived fizzy white head.
On the nose: yeast, Belgian pale malts, black licorice and a host of other exotic spices.
The body is medium, creamy, and full of bubbly zest like a good Tripel should be.
An array of flavors tease the tongue including Belgian malts, zesty orange, coriander, clove, pepper, and black licorice with a low to moderate hop finale that lingers just enough to satisfy.
Nicely done.

330ml bottle poured into tulip 13/11/12 from notes
A very hazy golden peach but a bit of a dead pour, dumped it right down middle and got just a short lived film for a head and no lace
S lots of coriander and peppery yeast with some bubblegum and banana with some dry cereal, smells like a Wit on steroids, it’s rather pleasant
T spice I can’t quite place with some fruity notes and a little booze, not as nice as the smell its missing the benefits of the yeast profile, some sweet orange as it warms
M thick enough but could use a few more bubbles and the booze could be hidden a little better, slightly slick with a boozy, spicy finish
O decent brew but there’s room for improvement, needs some life on the pour and feels a little dead, other aspects are taken care of but the smell is where this one peaks
It’s OK but I’m not going to jump for joy if I see it down the road, if the price is right try it but I wouldn’t go searching for it

Picked this up via the single bottle in Totowa. While it wasn't as good as the Tripel's that I've had from Belgium, this matched up well with those and held its own. It was bold, spicy, cloudy, and strong, and warmed me up on a cold night. Those looking for an American take on this beer won't be disappointed here but won't be bowled over either.
The pour was typical, with a dark and cloudy goldenrod hue, some sediment, and a moderately fluffy head that took a little to fizzle down. Not much of an aroma here but the taste was varied enough. Lots of pear and clove with a bit of banana, that faded into sweetness and alcohol in the back. The spiciness was more on the earthy side and the alcohol was quite present throughout the session. Not a quick sipper but this wasn't that hard to get down either.
A bit of dark fruit would have hid the alcohol better but besides that, this beer was sufficient enough. Somewhat light in taste for a Trippel, this never felt watered-down and the light hue and sediment only served a reminder that this was just a hair behind the others that I've had. Worth a try for someone inexperience in this style of beer.
