Notes:
Jet black this stout has a coffee aroma and a fair amount of roasted malt bitterness. despite its color it has a light body and the low alcohol makes it easy to drink.

Pours a dark brown that borders on black with a creamy tan head that shows incredible retention and decent lace. Smells of roasted coffee, chocolate, and light ash. Taste is not as roasty as the aroma would lead you to believe, but does add some caramel and a light phenolic that weren't there in the aroma. Medium to light body, light level of carbonation, and an oily slick mouthfeel. This was the least favorite of the brews I had at Tullycross.

On tap. Pours a dark black color with over an inch of head. Aroma is nice and smokey with some roasted malts, espresso and dark chocolate. Almost smells like a campfire. Taste is more of that great smoke with some chocolate covered espresso beans. Nice roasted malt finish with some espresso finish. Silky smooth mouthfeel. Overall, a nice surprise and worth grabbing again.
