While in Simsbury over the holidays, I wanted to check out some of the local flavor; I didn’t need to look any further than Red Stone Pub. Their selection of beers, both bottled and on tap, was extensive. Being a hop-head, I was happily impressed by their variety of IPA’s. The pub had a relaxed atmosphere that made for easy conversation – they even had a fire going to keep their clientele warm and comfy. But, what’s a pub without grub? Their menu, while not big, was quite tasty. I guess the menu doesn’t need to be large when you know you make a killer roast beef sandwich (and they do). The Red Stone Pub was a great find. The locals were friendly and it was just that kind of neighborhood spot that you walk into and feel like a part of the community. Do yourself a favor and check it out!

Red Stone Pub has a very relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. Some of the staff seems very knowledgeable of the beers they carry. Every Tuesday they get new beer in and have about 10 or so 22oz beers. Overall they have about 50 or so different beers with a number of tasty sandwiches that include a roast beef sandwich, a turkey sandwich, nachos and turkey chili. Definitely a good place to visit to network and socialize with others interested in craft beer. They also recently started "The Wall of Foam" with the goal being to try 50 different beers in their bar. Definitely worth checking out!

Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the beers they have. They typically have about 8-9 beers on tap, not all that impressive, but they do carry a large selection of bottles. This bar is making large strides towards being a craft beer bar. They often have bottles in stock that are not listed on the board, so it doesn't hurt to ask. Last time I was there they had several bottles of La Chouffe in the back. The value was good, I have seen the same bottle of La Chouffe in the store for between $11-12 and they were selling it there for $13.
Good atmosphere in the bar, free popcorn and peanuts, and trivial pursuit on the tables. This is a smaller bar and is typically not all that crowded but it is a nice place to go with a group of friends for a relaxing beer.
