A - Dark black with a bit of brown and a finger of khaki-chocolate colored head. Fades slowly.
S - Dark caramel and chocolate malts, spruce tips, grapefruit, citrus, and pine hops, funky Brett, some tart green fruits.
T - Dark roasted caramel and chocolate malts, spruce tips, grapefruit, citrus, pine, and grassy hops, some lightly resiny bitterness, funky Brett, and tart green fruits.
M - Medium bodied, moderate carbonation. Smooth with a bitter, funky, tart, and lightly roasty finish.
D - Fantastic dark sour. Like the mix of hops and spruce tips.

Thanks to kubrick215 for sharing!
Pours pitch black and completely opaque with a 2.5 finger beige head that has excellent retention, only slowly settling into a thick, lasting ring. Large streaks of soapy lacing left bind.
I know it's a black ale made with spruce tips but the aroma is surprisingly hop forward for a BA wild ale. Lots of floral, earthy pine and resinous oils followed by roasted malt, musty Brett and toasted oak. Some dark chocolate, roasted coffee bean and oatmeal along with musty funk and earthy hops. Very interesting.
On the fuller end of medium body with a strong hop/spruce tip presence that's complimented by roasted dark malt, dry oak and funky Brett. Complex and well balanced with the hops, oak barrel and brett notes bouncing off of each other. Sligtly spicy spruce tip presence with resinous hop oils, pine needle, dark chocolate, coffee bean and dark fruit. Some raisin, plum and fig flavor with a dry, spicy finish.

A - Pours a pretty dark brown with a huge tan head with great retention.
S - Brett, pine, spruce?
T - Brett, subtle spices, mild pine.
D - Good carbonation with a light body.
O - The most mild of the series up to this point. Pine and pretty subtle at that.

This poured out as a cloudy brown color with a light tan head on top. The retention faded quickly with a ring of bubbles around the edge of the glass. The lacing is minimal. The smell of the beer is earthy with some definite spruce in there. The taaste is kind of boring, it's too subtle I think of every aspect. The spruce is there but I don't think it's working too well and then there is some earth tart flavors but it's not jiving with the spruce. The mouthfeel was sharp pretty high carbonation. Overall this beer was average to me, I wasn't a huge fan of it unfortunately.

huge thanks to daniloknezic for this extra beer!
Appearance: black bodied beer with 2 fingers of lite tan head. Drops quickly to a thin cap leaving thick lacing all over the glass.
Smell: The hops and spruce are very interesting and have a hop like smell. A hint of brett and a hint of dark malts.
Taste: Mild bitterness and an herbal / spicy spruce flavor. Hint of oak and earthy brett. Hint of roast from the dark malts. Also a hint of tartness in this beer as well. Interesting flavor profile its complex and unique.
Mouthfeel: medium bodied beer with moderate carbonation. really easy drinking beer. Carbonation is really well done and has a nice soft and creamy feel to it.
Overall: Really did enjoy this beer alot, but when it warmed up the herbal and medicinal notes just overtook the beer. I suggest drinking this beer cold and dont let it warm up. That will really make your experience with this beer much better. Another nice beer from the WWB series!

Thanks to FooFaa for the share on this one. Poured into a snifter, the brew appears a hazy brown color with a khaki head. Some stringy lace sticks to the glass when swirled and the cap fades pretty fast.
The aroma is tangy with alcohol notes initially that give way to chocolate and notes of coffee. It is a bit dusty to musty with grain and an inclusion of spruce that is fairly obvious giving it a hint of pine. Some herbal hop inclusion wraps things up.
The taste is pretty big on pine upfront with a tangy alcohol inclusion. Some dusty to musty grain with bitter herbal hop addition. There is some dark grain quality present that attempts to impart a mild flavor of chocolate and darker grain quality but it gets trumped by the pine and herbal to almost medicinal notes.
This is a medium bodied brew with a modest to lower level of carbonation. Overwll it was kinda interesting but certainly not something I would want a whole bottle of. I am not the biggest fan of spruce and pine flavors so maybe i am biased here but with the same regard, I havent been inpressed with any of the crooked stave offeringd i have tried. This seems muddled and clashibg collectively.

On tap at Freshcraft in Denver. Served in a snifter. Pours a fairly-dark brown color with a thin beige head. Mild spotty lacing. Notes of spruce and roast with a touch of earth and Brett dryness. Interesting, but not quite far enough in the direction of hops, spruce, or Brett; instead, it’s a bit stuck somewhere in the middle.
