Wild Wild Brett Orange is an unfiltered, slightly tart wild ale, fermented entirely with Brettanomyces yeast. Brewed with fresh Minneola tangelos, bitter orange peel and coriander, Orange pours a golden color delivering tropical fruit aromas and bright orange citrus flavors with a tart earthy finish.

Thanks to Murren for sharing this at a recent tasting. Poured into a snifter, this brew appears a hazed yellow color with a white frothy cap. As it slowly recedes, it leaves patchy lacework on the glass.
The brew smells bright with orange zest. Brett and cheesy yogurt are present throwing a mixture of character that is earthy and funky in contrast to the brightness of the zest. More smells reveal a bit of peppery spice.
The taste includes a flavor of fruity orange, zest, rind and pulp but without the bitterness that usually follows. In its place, you find a bit of yogurt creamy quality of yeast and some peppery spice. There is an underlying note of some veggie aspect like the other wild wild Brett offering I had immediately before this one. It finishes tart from a combination of bacteria and mild barrel presence and wheat tang.
This is a medium to light bodied brew with a modest to higher level of carbonation that slowly gushes when opened. I enjoyed this brew slightly better than the red version due to the citrus notes that really worked with the Brett. This one is worth seeking out.
