Notes:
Daniel Island, a quiet, swanky, nearby island town, plays host to the Family Circle Cup tennis tournament each year. We were honored to brew this beer specifically for them (and a handful of accounts around town) in early 2012. It’s a solid American Pale Ale, rooted in Chinook hop bite and Cascade aroma, perfect for sipping in the stands.

Picked up a growler at the Charleston Beer Exchange
Light amber, with a little chill haze. Decent white head.
A little grapefruit and citrus action on the nose combined with a hint of sweetness. Ok it's an APA, not an IPA, but I could go for more.
Alright, nice bitterness, not a ton, but nice. Some nice grainy sweetness provides balance.
Fairly light-bodied, easy drinking. A bit of lingering hop bitterness.
Overall, it's a great, local pale ale. They should consider making it a year-round beer. Would definitely buy again.

A: Poured from a growler to a pint glass. Had a copper color and a clear texture. There was an inch of foamy, fairly long-lasting head. Average lacing.
S: A nice aroma of hops, malt, and a hint of citrus.
T: Tasted of malt (a light amount), a little citrus (grapefruit?), and surprisingly high amount of hops (comes close to making this an IPA). The one problem I had with the flavor is that the hops presence was a little harsh. Otherwise, not bad.
M: A well-carbonated beer with a super dry finish. Light- to medium-bodied.
O: A solid enough beer, though not exactly my first choice for an APA.
