We stopped in for a late lunch after driving in from Loretto Kentucky. Somewhat difficult to find. It takes up a whole strip center, apparently, but except for the side door, I couldn't spot any signs of life.
We walked in past the chalkboard with all the tap beers. It was an impressive list. The bottle list, however, was beyond impressive: Dozens of Belgians, and literally hundreds of beers from around the world.
Service was a bit slow for the size of the room. There were only 10 customers, and one waitress. Once she got to us, everything was fine.
We had the carnivore pizza, and it was very good. Best pizza I have had in a while. The beers were a bit, well, uninspiring. The Imperial Red lacked malt and was all hops. The Flat Tyre Amber was bland. The 15B Porter was great! The Pheonix Kentucky Kommon was good, but a little went a long way.
I would stop by again in a heartbeat.

This joint is in my hometown, and I've been going there even before I could legally drink, so there is a bit of nostalgia in my mind as I write this "review".
Atmosphere- ever since they have banned smoking, it's been a place I'm willing o spend more time in. It's got a communist public house them... It's got a very quasi-Prague atmosphere that is simple and homey.
Quality- I'm putting this with beer selection and overall quality of their food... the food isn't upscale gastropub grub (however that is what they're going or at their second location), and in my opinion their house beer is on the same level as the food. They're not trying to reinvent the wheel with their food, but they can be fairly experimental with their beers.
Service- the same people have been working there for as long as I can remember. They are all quite friendly, knowledgeable, and prompt with thir service. I wish other places had as good of a staff as his place.
Selection- there have been times when I've been in the area and popped in to see if they had anything old on tap only to walk out. That being said, those times are few and far between. They have ome good stuff in bottles, but their taps are what shine brightest. Also, their yearly Gravity Head and Session Head events can last for weeks, and there are always some great cellared beers on tap... For example, had several FFF one-offs and 2006 Bigfoot on tap at he latest Gravity Head.
Food- it's mainly a pizza join... They have 4-5 different kinds of pizza, 4 different pizza sauces to choose from, and lots of options as far as toppings. There beer cheese is simple but it's been hard or me to find a better option.
Value- it's not he cheapest place in the world, but the things on he menu are done right, and generally the beer selection is by far the best this side of Louisville.

Luckily I live pretty close by and make the short trip every so often.
A- This is a fairly basic, nothing too special pizza pub in the eyes of most people. The place seats about 50 or so and is fairly laid back, everbody there is drinking a good beer. The brewing equipment and fermentation areas are practically in the place and can be seen from the inside.
Q- The place is fairly simple. The quality of the food is good and more then justifies the price and they have nothing but good brews. The people there are nice and usually pretty classy folk.
S- My most recent service was sub par, granted it was friday. We waited about 20 minutes for a table. The waitress what not very attentive and the food was quite slow. However, the other times I have been were totally different. The service was quick, food was quicker and the waiter we usually have is attentive and accommodating.
Se- The place has a great menu, especially if pizza is your thing. Pizza and calzones can be customized to the topping. Beer, however is what they do best and is very impressive for a pizza place. They have about 10 of their own beers on tap as well as about 20 guest taps. Guest taps range from 3 floyds to St.Bernardus to Victory to Delirium.
F- Food here has always been good for me but know your going to a pizza place. The selection is good and you can get your food made your way easily.
V- Cheap! Relevantly speaking. The prices of the beer is cheaper or comparable to any other place I have seen. The food is also priced well. 7$ for a 10 topping calzone cant be beat.
Go there if you can

Stumbled into this place while visiting the Horseshoe Casino.
Pretty laid back place for sure. A lot of wood tables, chairs and benches. Beer signs all ov over the place. A large chalk board tells what house beers and guest beers are on tap. Three page bottle list too. A great mix of styles. They also have a small gift shop area by the cash register and have a small selection of their brews to take home.
The staff was easy going and always there to help. Our waitress didn't have the largest knowledge of their brews or guest brews, but it wasn't that big of deal.
Another thing that is great about this place is the pizza. The entire menu is pizza driven. The deep dish pizza is crazy good.

On an impromptu short road trip, myself and two friends decided to head here for a saturday afternoon/evening a few weeks ago. We actually went to two locations; Bank St. for lunch and the pizzeria for dinner. At both locations the food was outstanding and reasonably priced. At the Bank St. location, there werent any brewers on site at the time, however we were allowed to go back and take a tour ourselves. Both locations had an excellent selection of beer (the pizzeria had a larger bottle selection, but I didnt bother with that). My only gripe was that I didnt buy a NABC pint glass from the first location, and they were out at the pizzeria... Luckily I only live an hour or so away and it is definitely worth another trip down!

I would like to start by expressing my enjoyment at the fact that I could walk to this establishment if necessary. NABC has recently gone non-smoking which certainly makes for a better smelling restaurant.
There is no shortage of available beers as they commonly keep 20-30 beers on tap as well as a vast assortment of bottled beers spanning the globe. NABC also has fantastic deep-dish pizza as well as pastas and sandwiches.
The staff is very friendly and attentive, yet, not overbearing like some other restaurants. Once you walk in the door, you are greeted with a large chalkboard on the wall that offers a very informative look into what is currently available on-tap.
Certainly a nice place to come and enjoy yourself in a relaxed environment while eating some damn good pizza and knocking back quality beer. Cheers to all!!!
