Had on cask.
A- Poured a amberish copper color. One finger light tan head shows nice retention. Great coating of lace all over the glass when drinking this.
S- Caramel malts shine in this beer. There seems to be a light grainy presence in the middle of the aroma with just as light earthy hops in the end aroma. No real alcohol present in the aroma.
T- Bready caramel malts show in the front of the beer and linger throughout the rest of it. Middle of the beer showed a mix between light smoke and cooked veggies. While this was light it did detract from the beer a little. Ending showed off a light but lingering earthy hop finish. Alcohol was very light in the ending as well.
M- Medium moutfeel. Carbonation was a little light I thought for the style but since it was on cask I forgive that part. Caramel malts dominate the palate with hints of piney hops left as well. Aftertaste was very light alcohol, caramel malts, and hints of piney hops. Flavors were balanced semi well for the style with no complaints from me. No real off flavors aside from the light cooked veggie flavor that was short lived. Light alcohol drying on the palate.
O- A nice easy drinking beer which I enjoyed the couple pours I tried of it. This brewery seems to be on the verge of almost making a very outstanding beer. Right now though they are just making well rounded beers which is just as important.

Presentation: Poured from a growler into a standard pint glass. This was one of the specialty beers on tap when I ran to LBC yesterday.
Appearance: Pours with a thin but complete coating of light tan head. This settles to just a ring around the glass, leaving a fair amount of lacing as you drink. The beer itself is a beautiful mahogany copper and perfectly clear.
Smell: Sweet caramel malt with slight vegetal undertones.
Taste: Semi-sweet caramel malt upfront with an almost smokey middle. Finishes with a mild hop bitterness, displaying a hint of the piney flavor of fresh hops.
Mouthfeel: Average carbonation level. Body is good.
Drinkability: Another solid offering from LBC. Easy to drink yet flavorful.
